Alexim: Annapurna has a strange relationship with GOG, evidently it hasn't abandoned it like Curve Digital did, but at the same time it doesn't release a lot of new games that would surely deserve to be on GOG, like Outer Wilds, Twelve Minutes, The Artful Escape, Last Stop, Wattam, Sayonara Wild Hearts, Journey and many others.
Annapurna is like that friend who come to the gathering already half drunk. It was awkward but people still trying to be nice to her.

SCPM: I've been waiting for the La-Mulana 2 DLC to drop before finishing the game, but after the Playism Game Show affair, I think Playism is gonna be laying low for awhile longer. =(
As if Western companies haven't been kowtowing to much worse people (or "people") for several years now.

(The bike I won the title on says "Taiwan" on the head tube, the bike I'm going to win two titles next weekend on says "Taiwan" on the down tube, and chinese nationalists can kiss my dirt flap. (Pedos can kiss the lock right as it goes supersonic.))

To be fair neither do most developers.

Would have been a great time to release Fearmonium now, considering the dev purposely submitted a copy of the game to you, but apparently GOG staff knows nothing about Metroidvania's and would rather release crap.

Do you think someone might be able to check the damn submission box and put the thing out this week? I mean, I do believe a mental health themed Metroidvania with cuphead graphics might freaking sell. He just updated the game to 1.03.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1068360/Fearmonium/

I mean, steam lists nothing but very positive reviews from 141 users. The game will sell here just fine. There are times where I would love to take a plane to Poland, go to GOG headquarters, introduce myself to the staff and then simply get a reasoning for this. It's not like the game is a mere request. It's sitting in your submission inboxes. The dev is like "yeah, please sell my game" and you're like, "nah, we'd rather sell stuff that doesn't have as good of a user rating or crap most people never even heard of."

It just doesn't make any logical sense. Anyone in marketing would tell you that you would want to get a DRM-Free version of a game that has already proven it can sell copies. But seeing the Hitman situation, I guess the staff simply doesn't care about making a great deal of money or making people want to support the company.

Can the player save at any time? Or is it checkpoint only?
Chasm's not an easy game. It's fun, but minor enemies can deal quite a bit of damage to you early on. I didn't really get into it the way I wanted and I've stalled it for quite some time.

Is the game fully randomized? Or does it just randomize the placement of enemies?

you need to reach a checkpoint, yes
and there are daily challenges in which you have one attempt

I remember in every new game the dungeon is randomized, but if you die and restart from a checkpoint the world remains coherent and the enemies are in the same spots. I think the town above stays the same in every game.
So if you use just one save file you'll never notice that it is randomized. Only if you start a new game.
and yes it's not easy
don't be ashamed to play on easy
I know I will at my next attempt at it

It's made up of rooms, some rooms are randomized, others are obviously handcrafted "set pieces."
Any opinion about the Guacamelee games?
Which one is better, 1 or 2?
Are they too difficult?
Annapurna... guys... I kinda running out of things to buy! Any chance we might get Journey and Outer Wilds here anytime soon?
