Nope. It's essentially a modernized indie take on Wing Commander: Privateer. If you happened to like that game you'll very likely like RGO as it's basically the same just with a bit more spit-polish and quality-of-life features.

Does it allow the player to save at any time? Or can you only save at space stations?

Does it work with XInput controllers?

Thanks! ;)
Space Haven is a pretty nice game. I put about 60 hours into it even though it's in development.

I've seen some updates since then that seem to address much of my feedback. Devs are active on gog and make a real effort to include us I think.

It also has a great OST, made available on youtube for everyone, and for sale on gog with MP3/WAV/FLAC.

1) Only in ports.
2) Plays lovely with my XBone pad as it was designed for such. No need for keyboard during flight. ;)
Most of the games/addons cost ~ a cup of coffee thus wondering what the "end" game developers and art&level designers get from the sale. Would presume close to nothing, publisher & store get it all (not much, too).
Something like: "Hey Dev, there was a sale over the weekend, do not make a coffee this morning, we'll send you some"

Most people who work on games were already paid for that particular work by the time the game is released, either as hourly employees or as freelance contractors, and do not get any royalties. Only with ultra-indie games where you have at most a few people involved can you expect that money from sales is going directly to the game creators.

Thanks for the info!
That Westerado is not on sale very common so is a good choice to pick up.

I believe no royalties result in less (if any) engagement; games should be treated as any other work of art.
They should have formed a union or something in an ideal world.

Out of curiosity: what's your day job?
Are you getting royalties out of it?
