When you want a story to discover, and experience to come, walking simulators have you covered. Forget about wheezing bullets around you, frantic actions, and challenging missions to complete. Just slow down for a moment and look around. It's time for a long walk...

You can start with Firewatch (-60%). This emotionally-charged mystery turns the untamed 1989 Wyoming setting into the perfect stage for an intense, surreal journey of an isolated man that struggles to stay connected with the outside world.

If you're more into mistery, check Draugen (-15%) - a story about an American traveler who's come to Norway to find his missing sister, accompanied by his ward, Lissie - a gregarious, independent and enigmatic young woman. Together, you must explore this scenic coastal community - nestled amongst the fjords and mountains of rural Norway - in your search for Edward's sister, and unearth the darkness that lies beneath the picturesque surface.

How about becoming an occult-minded detective in The Vanishing of Ethan Carter (-85%)? Play as Paul Prospero, who receives a disturbing letter from Ethan Carter. Realizing the boy is in grave danger, Paul arrives at Ethan's home of Red Creek Valley, where things turn out to be even worse than he imagined. Ethan has vanished in the wake of a brutal murder, which Paul quickly discerns might not be the only local murder worth looking into.

And knowledge is power.

(Also they could hire me to police the forums on a probationary basis based on performance. I would start by cleaning up the forums[warnings/temp "leaves of absence" issued] of all those who abuse the one rule gog doesn't seem to care to enforce.....you know the one....the one that hits me/others the most)

It's nice when I am able to clearly know and understand when a game is a "walking around" type game. Everybody loves something different, but being able to admit what's what and be like "okay this is a walky game" is pretty cool. You have my respect for that.

Personally, I don't like those types of games. Just not my style. But, I hope that everyone that does like these types of games enjoys them very much! *thumbs up* :)
