Up to 75% off Avernum series, Syberia 1+2, Atlantis series and more!

Friday, March 20. It's the first day of spring (in participating locations), the first day of our Spring Breakers Weekend Promo, and we've got a few handfuls worth of discounts (up to 75% off) for you. Break into that spring state of mind - take your laptop outside, (no connection required here!) or crack open your office window and soak in the warm, blooming air. Breathe in...

The evergreen lands of Atlantis 1+2 are as good a start as any, and it's tough to deny the pleasures of sailing the Caribbean in Corsairs Gold - but really, who knows where springtime adventure will take us eventually. We might just descend into Avernum, an underworld in turmoil, or perhaps delve into the Geneforge games and their ridiculously deep RPG mechanics. If you're not too big on the seasons changing, the cold and dreary lands of Syberia are always there to take you in with their mystery and adventure. All that and more is our impetuous springtime greeting.

Breathe out... The spring equinox overwhelms our senses with sunshine and allergies, it's a fine time to take on some of the greatest titles you maybe haven't gotten around to yet. There is nothing quite like the gust of warm wind to accompany a weekend gaming session, the Spring Breakers Weekend Promo is how we're doing it - how about you?

The promo will last until Tuesday, March 24 at 4:59 AM GMT.

Niggles: Which of the Avernums would people recommend in order of purchase n playthrough?.
The "Complete Saga".
Whenever these promos come along my wish is that as many as possible of these games would be featured on the gog twitch channel over the weekend . Would love to see someone starting and playing these games even if just for an hour .I'm betting gog would end up selling more games and as a buyer it would let me make a much more informed decision about which games to purchase . Give me a schedule so I can tune in and watch some actual gameplay for titles that I'm on the fence about purchasing and I'm much more likely to end up buying those games and be happier that I bought the right games for me .

Kept thinking the same thing during the recent Insomnia sale where the sale titles kept changing every couple hours while the twitch channel was live with unrelated games. How much better if instead someone was playing one of the games that was also on sale . Really doesn't require a lot prep time by the staffer who would play the game on twitch either . I really enjoy watching someone tackling a new game for the first time and often making the same kind of mistakes that I would . I want to watch an experienced player for games that I already own and have played but for games I am considering purchasing I can better relate to seeing someone playing that game for the first time just as I would. Anyway, that's my wish list for the future at gog.

There's a small addition to today's schedule:
E_A will stream Iron Storm at 9pm GMT / 5pm EDT / 2pm PDT (Sunday) on Twitch.tv/GOGcom
Enjoy!

There was no way to know which game would be on at which time (not to mention that some games were only up for a few minutes) and having ALL streamers be prepared for ALL games that were in the sale was not possible. Some games require extensive tweaking to be "streamable" on twitch (and that also can differ from computer to computer) leading to an unmanageable amount of work for each streamer if he/she should have been prepared for all games.
Also not everybody is comfortable playing every kind of game.
So yeah, that idea was being talked about but it just wasn't possible to do in any way.
Sorry. :-(
I love and I hate this sale. Comes on the same dsay with new Lucasarts-Games and here is the result:

Bought: Syberia 1, Syberia 2 (Goodbye my Steam versions) as well as Loom, Zak McKracken from the Lucasarts release. I am still not sure if I should also buy the Atlantis games (I remember them being beautiful but often frustrating).

I've sat on the idea of the Moto Racer's the whole time I've been a GOG member. I own every other racer I want here, but I've never even really played bike racing games before.

Are they worth it? Because if someone can convince me, I'll buy 1-3 in an instant :D

Just the 1st one is a nice arcade racer game* ... the other two, especially the third is very bland and dull.

* if you like the old school type of arcade racers like Daytona USA, Sega Rally, ManTTX Superbike, Screamer series, Redline Racer etc.
