A true Blast from the Past</span> - not just in being a set of classics, but a set of classics that's not shy about blasting a big hole here, or there, or in your face. It's a flat 70% off nearly the entire game catalogs by Rebellion and Merge!

Fire up your crotch-burning laser, set loose your ravenous pet-sharks, and neglect to perform a basic equipment check on your Acme-brand hero shackles. Make the world your oyster (and then eat it) in Empire Earth. From barbarians to gasoline-powered war machines, this is your one chance to see how many pointy sticks it takes to blast a tank into submission. Finally, if you prefer a more direct approach, there's the timeless classic (cross-play enabled!) Aliens Versus Predator 2000. Blast your share of holes as a hardened space marine and near-perfect Predator, or tear a new one as a lightning fast, wall-crawling Alien.

All that and 20+ other summertime classics are here at a 70% discount! Check out the weekend's Blast from the Past</span> on sale until Tuesday, June 30, 3:59 AM GMT.

guppy44: Thanks for the reply. Too bad the Commandos titles don't have as big of a discount as last week with the Summer Sale. :p Are the Lords games able to be played in any order or it's okay to omit the first installment?

blotunga: Get and play Lords of the Realm 2. The first didn't age so well and the third shouldn't exist...
The first comes bundled with the second, so it's not like he has a choice in the matter...

True, but he was asking about in what order to play...

DiscoverAlbia: And where else can you find genetic mutations, neural networks, contagious illnesses, science, and everything in between? Oh my... I apparently could go on and on about these games. Ha! At $1.79 each, they might just be worth a look!
You convinced me, I took the two (Albian and Exodus !) yesterday :)
And your tutorial video for beginning in Albian helped me to decide. It's intriguing me too much !
Thank you for the help ! And for your communicative enthusiasm :D
I'll keep your website and videos in my links, there is big chances it will help me in my firsts plays. I tried Creatures 1, and it already please me.
One other question : Creatures 3 and Exodus : this is only one game ? I don't understand... And what is docking station ?

Ah, one of those situations. :)

Thank you for the reply.
Lords of the Magic for me this time
The lack of love for Evil Genius always surprises me. It's probably one of my favorite games.

Sure, it has it's flaws, but the atmosphere, music and humoristic style are top notch imo, love laying out elaborate trap networks for the forces of good :D

"Spots Evil Genius on 4th place of best-sellers list above all the other games from the promo."

What?

Glad I could be of some help! There are some other things with Creatures 1 I can recommend. For instance, the Norns in the base game are slightly flawed, as they're missing the "die of old age" genes. It's not too bad if you don't mind having them around forever, but there's a simple genetic update that gives them the correct life span of about 10-12 hours. I could go on and on about C1 here... If you need any other recommendations, I'm happy to help!

Creatures Exodus includes two games, Creatures 3 and Creatures Docking Station. These two can be played together to create one large world, often abbreviated C3/DS. Creatures 3 has a bunch of terrariums on a pretty large ship, while Docking Station is more of a small add-on. However, many people will play Docking Station on its own and customize it with metarooms, agents, and breeds. That leaves more resources available to focus on what you want in the world, rather than having to worry about C3 stuff if you don't want it. In my videos, the series about Artemiidae takes place in a custom DS world. It's all up to you! And in C3/DS, you're able to have multiple, unconnected worlds. That gives you a chance to try different things out, and to have separate populations. Off I go rambling, though! Let me know if that helps, or just makes things more confusing!

Maybe, but it's certainly not a general lack of love. :)
