75% off Double Dragon Trilogy, Tex Murphy, Subject 13 and more...

Ah yes, Autumn, an epoch of elegance at this juncture of seasons. Fall's stuck-up cousin, thinking it's all better and fancy. Well... maybe there is some merit to it. It's a refined term, sophisticated even. A seasoned relic from a different time. How appropriate then, that this weekend's games are the Antiquities of Autumn.

The Double Dragon Trilogy is retro arcade beat-em-up come home. Your home. Return to the days of "Game Over. Add Credit?", awesome co-op (powered by GOG Galaxy no less), high skill ceilings, and sometimes enemies that are just unreasonably cruel.

Tex Murphy is a series of games with all the retro design you can eat: FMV sequences, pre-rendered backdrops, and live actors aplenty. It's the story of a P.I. with a knack for trouble. In the words of Tex's designers themselves: He’s just an average guy… sometimes a little below average. He’s always in the middle of something that’s way over his head, but as he says: ‘Danger’s like jello – there’s always room for more’.

Developed by Paul Cuisset, the man behind titles like "Flashback", "Future Wars: Adventures in Time" and "Moto Racer", Subject 13 may be recent release, but it's all about classic point and click gameplay and brain-twisting puzzles.

Join us in an appreciation for the Antiquities of Autumn, with 75% off 30+ classic, and perhaps underappreciated, titles. The discount will last until November 25, 4:59 AM GMT
Syberia 1 & 2, Haegemonia, Robin Hood are some of the best games that promo has to offer! :)
got the ones I want out of this batch... Getting close to the holiday sales time anyway... time to save up some cash.
Well, I'm buying MegaRace. I know I'm never, ever going to play it, but the nostalgia is just too strong: it was the first computer game I ever owned, it was bundled for free with my Packard Bell PC (Pentium 1, 75hz, 16MB of RAM, 600 MB HDD).
Im interested in the Atlantis games. Do I have to play the first game/s to understand whats happening in the second/third game ?
Are they good, as in, are these generic puzzle games or rather unique ? (gameplay, story etc.)
Oh, and my last question is, how long are these games ? I dont want them to be too short (1-3 hours), but they shouldnt be too long as well (13+ hours).
I already have all must-haves from that promo.but nevertheless it's possible I'll bite sth (Motor Racer most likely).
Nothing for me in this promo. Must save my money for the x-mas sale. :D
ARGH!

I though it was the ship from Spelljammer and got very disappointed when I read the article. :(

JKeift: my Packard Bell PC (Pentium 1, 75hz, 16MB of RAM, 600 MB HDD).
I guess you meant 75*M*Hz, or you would have some diffculties to run any game on it ;)
Autumn, not fall? Weird!
Hm, Ishar trilogy seems to be interesting.

Hm, from the other specs I would say it sounds more like a Pentium with 166 Mhz, since 16 MB RAM and 600 MB HD seems a bit much for a P60.

seems to depend in which part of america you live, i think fall is much easier to write/type and remember without making spelling mistakes and losing on your grade in english class during tests.

600 mb HD in the p60 area? i also never saw any drive that large in that time.
Must be a typo, cant remember drives were that big and i been around since the 286 we used that shites at school, horrible things.
I even got my wp5x certificate and lotus 123 ... on a 486 on dos and win3.11, horrible stuff :D, drives werent that large though, so 600 mb is a big no no :D

gamesfreak64:
Well, I don`t live in any part of America. In school we also learned autumn, but here on GoG they always used fall instead of autumn, that`s what confused me now. :-)
Does the double dragon trilogy still install/require galaxy?

I don't want galaxy.
