This is not a rant and I do understand that GoG does not have the same policies of Steam, but I don't understand why a product that does not work should be sell on a store. Before making my purchase, I did not read any warning saying "this game will not work even with compatiblity mode enabled, but you will need an older version of windows instead".
So, bought the game. Tried to make it run properly without success and contacted GoG support. This is what they said:
"We weren't able to make the game work reliably on our test computers running that system. Maybe you have access to a different PC that meets the system requirements and that you could use to play the game? If not, I can make an exception and convert this purchase to wallet funds, that you can use towards buying a different games".
As you can see the guy was pretty straightforward and I would say polite.
Because I paid only 5 bucks, in my reply I hesitated to accept the refund (basically I did not say yes or no).
This experience made me worried about buying other games on this platform, though.
What if I buy let's say 10 games and 5 of them don't work?
