It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Tannath: Exactly. ;)
I see GOG has taught you very well, and very fast. ;-P

HypersomniacLive: I'm experiencing a variation on the web friends-notifications issue

Anyone else having a similar experience? I'm on the latest stable Firefox.
I see the same but I think it's Barefoot's fault.
Never mind. I'll just be on my way to the brain specialist.

I'd call it a benefit rather a fault - at least this way these "phantom" flags don't nag on me. :-)

I'm quite sure that up until now it hasn't been possible to post quotes from other threads with the avatar and direct source link included.
That's interesting. Could you tell us what exactly you did, step by step?

And here's another bug I noticed with this new "friendly" forum avatars - see attached pic.

There is also now a possibility to get rid of the invites without the client:

I simply opened the source thread in a new tab, chose reply, copied the text, closed/cancelled the reply window and then replied (inserting the copied text) to the first post of the relevant thread.

Cheers, I know already, but I'm practically not seeing them, so didn't bother. Is it confirmed that if you make a choice through the site, the flags clear?

OK then, let's see if I can replicate it.

EDIT: didn't work, but perhaps that's due to using Barefoot Essentials' "quick reply" feature. I'll try again using the regular reply button for both actions.

Ha, I know what happened. The poster of post #1 in both threads was the same person, so it appeared as if you successfully quoted from another thread.

Confirmed.

No, the link from the quote actually takes you directly to the source thread. I'm not sure what you're trying to do with your particular test examples as you're simply replying to my original post in the very same thread instead of in a different one.

It doesn't take me to post #1 of the "Free game and an apology". Clicking on the little arrow at the end of the quote takes me to post #1 of the "The Witcher Adventure Game". It only appears that you successfully quoted someone from another thread because the poster is the same for both posts #1.

If this works differently for you, I'm quite surprised. What system and browser are you on? Are you using the Barefoot Essentials script?

This is what I get when I do what you described in your post #771 in order to quote your post #19 in the "The Witcher Adventure Game" (using the regular GOG reply button):

avatar
ne_zavarj: [...]

... and there was much sighing.
The text gets quoted alright, but it is assigned to the poster of post #19 of this thread.

EDIT: typos

So, what's different for you now that you've accepted the invitations? Apart from the flags going away, that is.

Yeah, I declined them all...

But if there is something unveiled for not-Galaxy, I know who they are and will track them down. :)

How embarrassing... My apologies HypersomniacLive, I'll go make some coffee so I can kick-start my brain cells. ;D

Tsk tsk... forum improvements; how blind and naive is a person allowed to be? :P
