We’d like to inform you that, on developer's request, Way of the Samurai 4 will be delisted from our catalog on Friday, July 30th, 2 PM UTC. We're doing our best to have the title back on GOG.COM as soon as possible.

For everyone who purchased the titles prior to delisting, they will remain in their GOG library.
And DLC pack, I'm sure:

It seems it's published by Spike Chunsoft on Steam now, I hope GOG can work something out because they really don't sound like they're interested in selling anything here. :(

It would be awesome to have them on board. Would love to see Danganronpa en Steins;Gate here.
I expected as much. WotSi3 returned to steam published by Spike, which is not on gog afaik. Sucks nonetheless.

The only difference in WotSi4 vs steam version is the lack of achievements here on gog, and some cheap/unlock/cheat dlcs that are available only there.
Already bought this but it sucks to see it go.
Really lame of developers/publishers to pull games from here but sell them on Scheme. It's not even like this was some brand-spankin-new game that had to receive constant updating. Hopefully it's back here along with its predecessor soon.
Why remove it now? As far as i know its been on steam for years.

Publisher change.
And "spike chunsoft" - like the vast majority of japanese videogame publishers - probably has an intense phobia of everything DRM-free.

Correct.

This is a business culture issue. East Asian business culture rely heavily on established relationships and personal trust between gamedev and publisher liaisons and heavy protection of their IPs. Without a JP bizdev team, there's very little hope of seeing more JP games here without having to rely on the established groundwork laid down by Western-JP publishers to intermediate between the gamedevs and Western audiences. Same goes for KR gamedevs too.

they prob just want more sales and good luck to them I guess but its not a game for me

thanks for the heads up gog-staff!
Glad I grabbed it when WotS 3 was getting de listed.
Inb4 it gets delisted: it amused me to see a "Buy the entire series" entry with just one game on WotS4's page. Of course it has been like that ever since WotS3 was removed.
I doubt we'll ever get it back because of the publisher hates DRM-free.
And this is why I hate delistings announced this way.. I hardly come to the general forums .. Thankfully I got this game earlier on sale though
