The fact that i pissed off a particular user whom i won't name the other day, and the fact that I didn't get a message from this person UNTIL i posted that to me is a dead giveaway.

Well he is emailing me death threats and has been for the past two months.

Until you start getting them I think it's safe to say you aren't the target of his ire. :P

That's why i'm not saying his name. it doesn't seem fair if I don't have any harder evidence. That's just like pouring gasoline onto a fire.
He's been, largely, behaving for how long, now? I made the mistake of pointing out that he appears to be the same as another person and he flipped his lid, again. I didn't even accuse him of actually being this other person, but either he has reading comprehension problems or he's blinded by guilt. Not sure which.

We've confirmed that It's not me. He dared impersonate me while i was talking with others. He named someone in particular. Only 2 people at the time could've known who i was suggesting. There's not even the slightest evidence to suggest the person named in public. Only 2 people knew who i suspected, else this guy is a hell of a good guesser. My money's on the former.

EDIT: to be clear, it does us no good to name the person, even if we know who it is. GOG already knows who it is, if they care enough to interfere. We don't really have any collective power to stop it. All we can do is keep an eye out for the impersonations and recognize when it occurs.

I think I know who it is, and I'm on board with it for now. Maybe if the problem gets big enough they will fix the goddamned forum. It would be nice for them to actually put an OUNCE of fucking effort into the thing for a change.

For that matter, if you receive chat messages from "me" out of the blue, it is definitely not me. For the time being, I will be assuming the same of questionable PMs I get from others, too. (No big loss, since I scarcely ever use Chat.)
