I was attempting to trade some random keys with them for quake and return to castle wolfenstein. I know it was a mistake to trade with someone without other documentation but it's my first time trading here.

AND you gave him your e-mail address.

Don't worry, though, I can go after him for you. All I need is your SSN and a valid credit card number and I can track him down and bring him to justice.

Resisting the urge to make the easy "that's obvious" joke. I failed.

No. You traded with a newb with no forum cred and got taken. I was calling you an obvious dummy for that. But fear not, it was in jest. I know it sucks fo get taken but a scammer.

Your post will not help. If NikyUS44 has some brain he most likely will request nickname change through GOG support.
NickUS44 and date of joining could give more identity info, but still it's useless.
There is a list of known scammers somewhere on forum but I don't see the point of that either.

I traded only once and (after i stated my suspicion) a good person suggested to provide a game key prior to my payment which was totally okay with me. Transaction went well on both sides. I still feel that buying straight from GOG and gifting extra codes for free is much more satisfying way to live.

OP, you can contribute to the known scammers thread that the community keeps to help out people who trade regularly. Contains good tips and a list of scammers.

Amen and ditto for the buying/giving away extras.
