What do you folks think? I'm pretty hyped. I hope Blizz does this with their other games.

Well, they seem to be going through their games and updating them a bit.

Never got the opportunity to play the original, so this is exciting.

Didn't they do it with StartCraft?

Don't care, I own Warcraft III already. Additionally, Blizzard has been incompetent for a long time by this point, so they are gonna botch it like they did with Starcraft II and SC:R anyway.

Yup. I'm hoping for a Diablo and Diablo 2 remaster. The first two Warcraft games would also be nice, but it's probably unlikely to happen. Since both Alliance and Horde are the same; aside from a few spells and upgrades.

From the trailer, they make the character more real human like. I'm actually fond of the cartoony design from the old game.

How did they botch Starcraft Remastered? I thought it was fantastic.

If they replace the original voice acting they'll be hell to pay.

They did that with the remaster of Broodwar. The voices are kind of similar, but a little worse. Hopefully with Reforged Blizz won't fix what ain't broke. It looks like they are aiming for both a realistic and animated aesthetic. I prefer the bright and colourful art style of Chris Metzen - and by extension - the Warcraft games in general.

Did Warcraft 3 really need a remaster?



Put me in the camp of "I'd rather Blizzard remaster/rerelease/rewhatever Diablo 1 and/or Warcraft 1+2".

It had (and probably still has) tons of issues, just take a look at the relevant threads on TeamLiquid for that.

Money. Power. Control. It's for the same reasons they did a BW remaster.

To answer your question, I'll just say this: I'm sure when 8K gaming will be a thing, they will do an 8K remaster of the 4K version :).
