Does anyone still play warcraft 2 battlenet edition??? I have logged into the server succesfully but there is no one online to play with

How the hell is the current drama relevant to a 25+ year old game? Today's Blizzard has nothing to do with the old Blizzard, besides the name, which has been cannibalized.

If you decide to not play these great old games because of that, your bad, but please, don't act like your decision is the epitome of morality and tell others to do the same.

What, and give up the sweet feeling of moral superiority and self satisfaction earned easily and without any effort simply by obsessing over random strangers' (alleged) offenses? Might as well shut down the Internet.

Is Galaxy required for BNE multiplayer, or can you connect directly from within the game (like the old days)?

Even ignoring the current situation, Actiblizz was never made by saints.
They are guilty of tax fraud (included paying nothing in the US but getting tax refunds from the country, so if you are a US citizen your taxes are actually going to Kotick) mass layoffs to boost the administration's profits, severe mistreatment of the workforce with crunch time and so on. (The latter being legal doesn't make them good by any mean)
Giving money to these companies is like buying the bullet that will hit you. Same goes for all other behemots like Amazon and such.
