Tannath: I'm finding it incredibly funny and ironic that one of the arguments for the archiving was ending necros, but because of it we're having more necros than ever.
We're just trying to make their job easier by lessening the amount of threads that need to be archived. ;)

GOG: Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make!
The old threads: ♫ Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do. I'm half crazy all for the love of you. It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage. But you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two. ♫

A lvl1 necro mind you, it was only 6 months old. :P

EDIT: Also, was that a Bram Stoker's Dracula reference?

Yep, as well as a reference to Bela Lugosi.
rofl

Just got up, checking my GOG for the day. Every "favorite" thread I have, some of them dormant since 2012, now have updates from the last 24 hours XD

I was fully prepared to see those older ones retire to Read Only, possibly rightly so. I only had them favorite'd for their content, not for their possible future content. I saw no reason to bump any of them personally. If I was not so lazy, I'd track all the threads from years gone by that have been bumped, just to check them again in a year from now to see if the bump re-activated them, or if it is still the only new post there.

There's no action as hilarious as over-reaction. amirite?
As much as I'm generally against random necroing, I guess I did find three threads in need of preservation. A few 6 month old Damien giveaway threads, where if GoG releases a particular game or it receives X votes on the wishlist, someone wins a game. I recall a number of old "Queen Bee" thread that lasted more than a year but eventually met their goal...
oh man i had made so many threads about old classic games pre 2014 i wonder if i should bump them up or let them be archived forever
