Hello all, hope everyone is well.

I can't see anywhere to request a new game to GoG, but I wanted to highly recommend a new, high-quality adventure game "Voodoo Detective" to GoG. It is available on Steam and Epic but not on GoG as yet.

I contacted the developers of the game to see if they were willing to sell the game on GoG and they replied very quickly and explained that were keen to sell on GoG and had requested their game be added by GoG but had heard nothing back.

Is there anyone from GoG who is likely to read this thread who could look into this? It seems like a win-win for GoG and for a great indie developer (their email to me was really nicely worded and they are clearly passionate about DRM-free).

The game looks fantastic from footage I have seen on Youtube, it certainly deserves a GoG release.

Stay well,
Tim.
It looks good. I'd buy it here.

You can vote for games GoG should consider adding to the catalogue via the Community wishlist:

The wishlist entry for Voodoo Detective:

As reported here, the dev was looking into and, as you mentioned as well, already has submitted Voodoo Detective for release on GoG.

Unfortunately due to GoG's relatively small staff, processing of submissions taking place on an assumed "first come, first served" basis and as it looks like, quite a lot of other devs submitting their games as well it can take several months (in case of another, just recently confirmed game called Zodiac Legion even 11 months) before GoG gets back to the individual developers or publishers confirming a release for or giving the submitted game a pass, for the time being.

Uhh. I hope it doesn't take months until we see this game here. I just voted for it.

And hopefully we also see the PC port of Deadly Premonition 2 here soon, which was released a couple of days ago at that other store.

I think that's slightly exaggerated, at least clips that I saw had characters sliding when walking, and I really don't like those face closeups during dialogues, and other annoyances like that caught my eye.

But anyway, overall it looks like a nice indie adventure game, and would be a nice addition to GOG catalogue.

There just can't be too many adventure games.

Another game that was just recently confirmed by its developer to have passed curation, Zodiac Legion, apparently spent 11 months in the queue to be reviewed.

Reportedly it's the usual shoddy port that not even supports keyboard + mouse.
Wouldn't count on it to get a GoG release just yet.

That's great, thanks for the heads up, added my vote and a comment. I suspect lots of positive comments as well as votes will help.

That's what one would hope voting on the wishlist does.
Unfortunately it's entirely unknown how much the votes actually factor in during the reviewing/curation process over at GoG HQ.

If you happen to still be in contact with Short Sleeve Studio it could also help dampening their expectations a bit in regards to receiving a timely response to their submission, for the reasons mentioned earlier.
Also worth pointing out again that if the game in question gets rejected that's not necessarily the end of it, and going for a second, third, fourth, etc round by simply re-submitting the game might result in getting the green light for release on GoG after all.

This game looks ace, I can't believe GOG haven't fast-tracked it.
Voodoo Detective

Took roughly 2 months, from the developers' submission due to sufficient demand (or maybe they've been approached by GoG, who knows) to the eventual release today.
I am so pleased to see the game today, insta-buy from me and I left a review based off my previous play on Steam.

Did someone say adventure game? Thanks for posting this and it should definitely be on GOG.
Glad to see this one here. :)
Now we need this one: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/justin_wack_and_the_big_time_hack_pc_adventure
