So I was thinking about this.

There are so many PC versions of video games on PC that have broken graphical effects or broken shaders or problems that happen.

So if you have any of these PC versions of video games that you have purchased on Battle.net, Origin, Steam, and uPlay name them.

They have to be video games that are not sold on gog.com yet.

So I will start with some of the PC versions of video games that I have on Steam that are not sold on gog.com yet.

Grand Theft Auto III, the camera look is weird and doesn't work well at all with the mouse. Rockstar Games still has the Source Code to fix it.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the camera look just like Grand Theft Auto III is weird, again Rockstar still has the Source Code.

Grand Theft Auto IV, the camera look is uncentered.

Call of Duty: Black Ops, putting the Shader Warming slider bar to max in the options menu in the graphics options menu freezes the video game in the graphics options menu.

All Call of Duty video games since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 have terrible netcode and Peer to Peer (P2P) is garbage and we should get Dedicated Servers, except for Call of Duty: Black Ops and if you put all of the graphical options to max in the options menu in the graphics options menu the textures look like blurry 720P textures or something. When you change the graphical settings options to High they look better and clearer, than when you set the graphical options to Extra. As well as alt tabbing for most of the Call of Duty video games either cause a black screen or Crashes to Desktop (CTD's).

Need for Speed (2016) have very bad controls can't mouse look and can't even press W A S D to go forward, backwards, left, right.

So that's like thirteen PC versions of video games on PC that have broken controls or graphical effects.
Don't call games Surely. John, Shirley, Greg, Dina...but not Surely.

...Also, do you even know what kind of site GOG is? Rockstar/Take Two and LazyVision aren't going to be like, "Here, take my most popular games except without that pesky DRM!"

Also, NFSEPD for SMED hasn't been good since...well, probably the arbitrary time they chose to name it after the first game. The first time.

Why don't you go play some Tyrian 2000 to get appreciation for the classics?

This.

There's nothing wrong the GTA3 and Vice City, other than the fact that they aren't available on GOG.

LOVE THOSE GAMES and apart from a few VERY frustrating missions (using a toy helicopter to blow up a building!?) they are near flawless games.

Lol I remember that level, I had to complete it for a friend that gave up on it XD
But come on, it's not that bad!

Actually as soon as you master the chopper controls, which just takes a lot of practice, it's not that hard. I eventually got that mission down to a science. Was able to hit most of the workers on my first pass which meant all I had to do was not hit walls for the rest of the mission.

In #3 the killer for me is the "Porno Mag" mission. You have to be lucky and not hit any traffic or you're screwed.

Can't remember that level so well, but I probably struggled with it. It reminds me of that blasted early Mafia 1 level where you have to travel a long distance in the city without getting in trouble. Back in the days of the first Test Drive I managed to complete the game by never going over the speed limit, and in doing so completely exhausted all of my patience with slow video game driving :P

Sure there is, although the things broken about them have not been mentioned in the OP.

Both of those games have absolutely broken controls on the RC missions, at least with mouse & KB. RC missions are literally unplayable on mouse & KB, especially the timed ones. The player would have to be a masochist to enjoy that. And because of how extremely broken the controls are, he'd probably have to be a hardcore professional eSports player in order actually to beat those missions without using third party cheating hacks.

Vice City is also broken because soon after it was released, it was censored, and only the censored versions are sold now (I consider censored games to be broken but not everyone will agree).

As for the idea in the thread title: no one is ever going to fix the source code in any game just to make it better for a GOG release. That's an extremely unrealistic dream that would simply not happen in real life.
