More lies. He is obviously still pissed about how I said he should get some manners.

Don't listen to this guy, after I got ridiculed and asked time and again why I made this thread at all by people who shouldn't be here in the first place, because they shove their anti-veg-garbage in here again and again instead of being on-topic a single time by providing a name of a vegan gamedev or company. They didn't accept the reason that it's just interesting and so I wrote something about more reasons like the meat farms which I rightfully compared to concentration camps and said supporting those with money by buying their products is wrong in the eyes of some people (like me) and that some people are interested in supporting guys with a different lifestyle (that's why there are such lists in the first place) besides the point that it's just interesting, which didn't suffice. I should have just ignored the hostile people, but it's been a while ago now anyway - doesn't stop them from attacking again and again and again and..... that's about how the opposition to slavery (of humans) must have felt when it was still a normal thing.
And yet another couple of downvotes from the same "people" as always.

At least I've gotten some encouraging PMs from nicer people who are sick of such intolerance and mobbing, most of them are not even vegans btw.

You still don't get, that I still won't argue in this thread about such things no matter how often you'll try. Use the other thread if you must, but it wouldn't be anything else than repeating yourself the third or whatever time anyway.

Because...... freedom of speech?

And if you see all over the internet, interesting topic have its fair share of commenters who post remarks that go against the wishes of the thread starter, so you should congratulate yourself for starting an interesting thread.

Since you cannot stop people posting anyway, why don't you enjoy your thread popularity? You lose if you get personal and try to address every comment.

htown1980: You do understand that they can both be moral choices, though right? One might be a moral choice that you don't care about, but just as some people think not supporting gay marriage is a morally bad thing, some people think eating meat is a morally bad thing.

Its funny but you see humans eating meat as humans doing what they are "meant" to do. Some people think men marrying only women is also humans doing what they were "meant" to do.

hedwards: The difference here is that I'm not spreading lies and preventing other people from doing as they please.

I don't really care one way or the other, but it's absolutely ludicrous to suggest that vegetarianism is healthier than a diet that's just properly balanced. There's no scientific data that backs that point up and the body itself is evolved in a way that's not conducive to vegetarianism. Considering that virtually every part of the world had a traditional diet including meats and animal products which wasn't harmful to life expectancy, it's really hard to claim that vegetarianism confers a benefit that can't be had with meat. What's more, there are at least a couple of societies were nobody ate vegetables or fruits at all because they weren't available.

Veganism is even worse in that you're eschewing even more of the things that are easy sources of nutrition over questionable rationalizations.
Who is suggesting that every vegetarian diet is better than every omnivorous diet? Some vegetarian diets are certainly more healthy than some omnivorous diet. Likewise, some omnivorous diets are healthier than some vegetarian diets. To speak in absolutes "it's absolutely ludicrous to suggest that vegetarianism is healthier than a diet that's just properly balanced" is either ignorant or insane.

Just as nobody is suggesting a homosexual lifestyle is healthier than a heterosexual lifestyle, nobody is suggesting every vegetarian diet is healthier than every omnivorous diet.

Personally, I don't care about health, I know people who have been vegetarian for over 30 years and are perfectly healthy. I would be interested in a meat eater putting forward moral or ethical arguments for the eating of meat.

It helps control the cow and chicken population. Too many cows and chickens is unsanitary and unsafe. It's a fact! :D
Sorry I couldn't post before. My chicken was too hot and made my meat sandwich fall over the keyboard.
