nightcraw1er.488: Another month goes by, another month without any news whatsoever.
Still working on the GOG version, but can't share any new information.
betcha its gog galaxy holding things up...

Wouldn't surprise me a single bit, its one of the things that has really ruined this site. Now its making us all suffer just to appease the steam fanboys who can't download files.

nightcraw1er.488: Really happy for you guys, doesn't help me one bit however. The promise was to provide all purchasers a copy of final cut if you brought all three individual items. I have brought all three items, and don't have the final cut, why is this? Everyone else has their copy, steam, consoles etc. Just Gog buyers once again shafted every which way.

So let me ask you one question.

They made a promise to give a free copy for GOG buyers, yes? Did they say specific date or promise they'll release it on xxx date?

They did not give an exact date no, however they specifically sold each of the three items on the basis of the final cut being provided. If we wish to go down that route, then if you give me £50 I will provide you with every game ever made, at an unspecified point in the future. Does this sound like a good deal to you, or perhaps false advertising?
Not to mention everyone else already has their copy, where once again we are at the back of the queue - if indeed this will ever come here at all.

Full stop.

You paid for the products (Hellsing 1,2,3), they gave you products (1,2,3) and they even promised to give you Final Cut. For free.

If they break it, then you can pursue your rights. As it stands, they said they're working on it and in the meantime offering free Steam copy for you to use, yet you're still bashing them. Unbelievable.

Let me turn it the other way round then, if it had been released here and not on Steam, do you think that would have gone down ok? No of course it wouldn't. To be honest I am not really that interested in it anymore, its more the fact that once again, people who shop here are treated like second class citizens.
As for "As it stands, they said they're working on it," - no, they were working on it, back in October last year. They then released it on Steam in November. As far as I am aware they have also released it out for console as well - although I am unable to check at the moment - so "working on it" it is not an applicable statement.

How do you know they aren't getting any problems when working on GOG version? Do you know how their work methods? Do you know how problematic GOG's Galaxy as it is now as opposed to easy to use mature Steam client? Would you prefer to receive half assed products?

If it's broken game, I'd bet you'd whine. Non stop.

If that had been released here FIRST then Steam, I'd happily accept GOG copy in the meantime to play. 2 copies in the end. That's 2 against 1 copy. Simple logic, really. It doesn't take any more brainpower of an ant to comprehend.

Paragraph 1 is covered above. Galaxy is not my problem.

Paragraph 2, is covered in all the above posts - this is the point for complaining in that we are always last in the queue.

Paragraph 3, yes, I know full well that you are fine with Steam, some of us are here specifically buying here to avoid Steam. And there is no need to start name calling.

Simply put, we are once again - list is all there on the forums of all this - being treated as second class citizens by companies whose only focus is to use this a secondary income over the main platforms. For those who use the main platforms such as yourself, this is fine, for the rest of us we just have to suffer.
Rejoice! It's finally here, 7 months after the Steam release!

Great, they build me up to look a pillock then release it, thanks GOG!

Seriously though, thanks at last.

I'd wager the wait had to do with GOG Connect, to make it simpler for Neocore in situations like "I have the first game on Steam and the other two on GOG."
