SCPM: GOG started following Xbox on Twitter and they are playfully tweeting to each other. Obviously this can only mean that Microsoft is buying GOG. :P

Ueber: The Xbox-controller shown in the tweet has a similar if not the same colour as the GOG-Galaxy colour-palette. https://twitter.com/GOGcom/status/1622976696398884864
Naturally we should never get our hopes up, but GOG's 15th anniversary will be this Aug (or Sept?), so a BIG release around then would be appropriate. Skyrim would certainly have been appropriate, but with that here, since we're talking Microsoft, maybe GOG was able to secure Freelancer or (less likely unless GOG got EA and Microsoft to work together, maybe after the Noclip documentary) Black & White (ideally both B&W 1 and 2 and all the expansions). Dunno if the Bethesda "connection" comes into play; a smattering of more Bethesda releases around that time (Fallout 4, Doom 2016 + Eternal, missing older titles like Rage) would certainly be great and financially good for GOG (and I for sure want to be able to buy Doom 3 here), but wouldn't have the punch (nor make the digital headlines) of something like Freelancer or B&W.
(Some people seem to get upset when I even suggest the possibility of stuff like this; again, we shouldn't get our hopes up, but I enjoy occasional speculation and personally I can handle the disappointment :P)

mechmouse: A few months after SEGA acknowledged the existence of GOG via Twitter we saw Satan don Ice-skates and deliver us a bunch of SEGA games. https://twitter.com/GOGcom/status/1622976696398884864
Here's hoping history repeats.
Might help if some goglodytes engaged too
