Prah: 1. Wrong! BioWare developed the game before they were part of EA, Microsoft however published it.

Andrey82: 1. This is why i wrote "with Microsoft" not by them. :) First game was, for some time, XBOX exclusive and Microsoft helped making it.
I could swear it said "by" but oh well :P
But yeah, I do recall it being an Xbox exclusive.

Don't say swear words, post wasn't edited! ;)

I'm too recall sitting before a TV watching X-Play with Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb (yes, is Russia we too watched this show :) ) on MTV back then in the middle "zero" years. And when they showed first ME... And that it is only for XBOX... And you have only PC... This is how i started hating platform exclusives (later GRAW2 contributed to this feeling greatly with its Medic thing).

Nightdive have the rights to Titanic: Adventure Out of Time, but are having a tough time getting it to run on modern machines.
Maniac Mansion got a Steam release. Since Day of the Tentacle is already here and so is LucasArt (Disney), I assume (and really hope) that this will come to GOG as well.

Thanks for the info. Hope they get it working, always wanted this game.

That is odd. I hope they don't expect those who already own it via Day of the Tentacle to buy this one again. They should have just split it into a separate release in the first place.

Abandon hope. Different publishers.

The original Day of the Tentacle came with Maniac Mansion. Are you proposing they should have removed it from the rerelease and sell it separately?

Well, I just think if they were going to do another separate release...

It was also a bit annyoing not being able to manually save in the DotT Remastered version of MM until they finally updated it. I had to use another separate install of ScummVM and use the Double Fine Extractor to grab the MM files from DotT RM to play it in that so I could manually save before that update. A separate release would have avioded that hassle.
There are lots of 3s here and there in the forum and in the prices in the catalogue. So that must mean that Half-Life 3 is coming to GOG!

... vague enough?

To quote the cat: "different publishers", so they (Double Fine) weren't going to do anything.

I don't really see the problem in this, frankly:

· Do you already own The Day of the Tentacle Remaster? You won't be interested in this potential release since you already have the game.

· You don't own it, and you're only interested in getting and playing the original Maniac Mansion? Then buy the new release when/if it comes here.

Eh, just a bit odd to me I guess.
There is some interesting changes in Origin. Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age II, Mass Effect 2 and 3 got DLC bundles available from Origin store. Might this be indication, that in the next year this games (Dragon Age Origin already here) will arrive at GOG?

Exactly my thoughts. I wish all three would get here this year.

Me too! Also, add Far Cry 3 (with Blood Dragon) in the next year and 2018 will be best GOG year for me!
One of the abandonware sites I check every so often has removed the game Fates of Twinion for download. I am probably wrong about this, but I could've sworn that the publisher wasn't Sierra-Online the last time I looked. The last game this abandonware site took off was Jazz Jackrabbit at about 6 weeks before it was released on GOG.

Apparently Fates of Twinion is part of a series, the other game being Shadow of Yserbius. Shadow of Yserbius is also showing as not being abandonware, but I haven't ever checked that game on the site before, so cannot say whether, like Fates of Twinion, the download has been taken down or whether it was never available in the first place.

But, like TFISHELL said in their original post, do not get your hopes up. For those interested, the website I'm using is http://www.abandonwaredos.com but it still has downloads available for Menzoberranzan and Dungeon Hack, so I'm not in any way saying you should download anything from them. In a perfect world, all of these so-called "abandonware" games would be available, completely legally, for digital download, ideally DRM free, and with a lot of patience, i believe they eventually will be. It's just a matter of waiting for them.

EDIT

"I am probably wrong about this, but I could've sworn that the publisher wasn't Sierra-Online the last time I looked."

I just checked MobyGames and I am wrong about that. Also, apparently, these games were more online multiplayer games than single player games, although they did have a single player mode. I'm not really that clued up on this particular series.
