Anyone know what that's called? Is it just a ramp, or is there a specific name?

edit: got an answer elsewhere - it's the right turn bypass lane :)

They are an exclusive right turn lane with an island. Sounds like the same way to say a right turn bypass lane so maybe it depends on where you are as to what they call it.

I remember many years ago driving in New Jersey for the first time, encountering one of these. I was in total "WTF?" mode. Last I heard, N.J. was considering finally getting rid of them
