Clicking the title on your library and then accessing its store page from there makes the notification disappear for me every time.

Got rid of it by clicking on it,then log out and back in.

If you get notices that don't seem to refer to anything (game updates or forum posts), it's likely a friend request through galaxy.
You can get rid of those by going here:
https://embed.gog.com/account/friends
That will let you accept or decline the friend requests to remove the update notices.
