I appreciate your input, don't have the game so I used that image, the on screen text gave me pause but . . . I used it anyway . . . the most difficult thing about making covers for these games is finding a print quality cover image and print quality screen shots . . . =)

Hi, I'm interested in copying my GOG downloads to disc and have a few questions about storage. Will the art covers work with the slimline DVD cases? Do I need a special paper, ie photographic or DVD inserts?

Well the covers will be too big for slimline cases, you'd have to edit the artwork and cut the middle section away. I guess that's kinda obvious if you take a look at the cases. :) About the paper, I just recently tried to print a cover for Duke Nukem 3D, used standard-issue copy paper and it looks just fine. Of course, it'd look more official if you had different kind of paper, but when we look at the printing quality, my printer isn't good enough to make it look like one anyway so it doesn't really matter. But I think it still looks awesome so I'll be using my regular gear. :P

I like Epson Photo Quality Ink Jet Paper ( Epson # SO41062 ) for best results, remember to print on the bright white side only (most packages allow either side). It is fairly priced for 100 sheets of matte photo paper.

MS Paint works extremely well but I thought some might want to print using MS Word. The attached images below are the instructions to print DVD covers with MS Word 2K and 2K3. MS Word 2007 will be the same steps just a different interface.

I was curious why we use a template that is 4.2 in x 6.5 in instead of the actual size of 7.15 in x 10.70 in ? I assume it was Red_153D's original size. Do you see any negatives concerning the creation of a template that is actual size? I may have misinterpreted the dimensions.

I tried the template link, wanted to confirm the size, but it is not a valid link now.

Red_153D wanted to manage his own covers, so they're no longer on my list... but I guess I can add this one temporarily, until he fixes it.
As for template, I've re-uploaded the old one with all fonts, layers, etc. I don't know if it's still valid however, given that there is new a 'trend' in covers. ;)

Nope, supposed to be finished. I have found that many sites offering screen shots offer the wrong shots. I don't have the game and the quality of the shots on the game card is fairly poor so . . . I trust the game sites and community members to give me input. . I'll look for more and re upload . . . thanks for letting me know, I appreciate input as I like to get them right . . .=)
