Oddeus: Hey folks, I have a little more free time again and I am starting to make new covers again. I don’t know how long this will last, since things can change quickly in life. If everything goes according to my plans, I will release more covers and also reworking some of the old ones.
There will also be a small change (and I’m really sorry about that, BigFatRock :) Until now, I hadn’t included my name in the file name, but there are so many talented cover artists here now that it’s definitely helpful if people can identify my covers at a glance. Over time, I will go through all my previous covers and re-upload them.
Asterigos: https://u.cubeupload.com/Oddeus/AsterigosOddeus.jpg Haha! Thanks. It’s great to have you back :-)
I’ve done a major update after being away for three weeks.
I’d also like to welcome the new users and commend them on their great work!
To make life easier for all of us, I suggest we standardise the file naming convention as follows:
- FullGameName
- suffix: by_username e.g.
PineAStoryofLoss_by_RenKalan
BlazBlueCalamity_by_wolfsite
Silent_Hill_2_by_BigFatRock If we have several versions of a cover, please number subsequent versions v2, v3, v4, etc.
e.g.
SyberiaRemastered_by_RenKalan.png
SyberiaRemastered_v2_by_RenKalan.png This will make it easier to find a specific cover and will help with the project I’m currently working on (a private website with a repository – moving away from OneDrive)
If you have any comments regarding the naming convention, please feel free to get in touch.
P.S.
This weekend, Claude and I plan to clean up the current repository and automatically correct the naming of what we have (but don’t worry, there’ll be a backup in case things go terribly wrong). As CubeUpload removes the _ character from filenames, I want to automatically add it before every capital letter (excluding the first one).
P.S. 2
RenKalan – thanks again for the gift, I feel spoilt ;-)
