DoomSooth: Why didn't they tell us that Secret Agent was going to be removed? It was removed, yesterday.

Already bought it. Thanks, though. :)

GamezRanker: Btw: Is there any other game(for 2-3 US dollars) that might catch your eye in the catalog? ;)
First of all, I want to apologize for my delay in replying to your forum offer.
And then, to tell that You are a very generous person, but the summer sale is end, so thank you again :)
My English is horrible

That's fine, then....and no worries on the delayed reply. :)
It looks like these games are not available on Origin any more either (and neither is Syndicate 2012). Can someone check if it's just the case of additional regional restrictions. temporary bug or are they globally gone?
The games are gone in Origin for my region as well (Russia). Guess it's either have something to do with prolongation / license of IP or maybe they indeed are going to provide redux versions (with some mods and / or source port engine) really soon.
No Syndicate (1993) and no Ultima Underworld on my end, either. And even Syndicate (2012) seems to be missing in action. Maybe EA sold the properties, after all.

Oh yes please, Ultima Underworld definately needs the same kind of treatment that Daggerfall got with Daggerfall-Unity

I thought it was achieved in late 2018.

Selling Ultima Underworld but leaving Ultima franchise intact, highly unlikely. And there is no relation between Syndicate and Ultima Underworld, even release dates on digital stores are different. I remember how Disney removed their King Lion and Alladin games only to re-release them in bundle, so I would not be surprised if EA announce something related to the games, it would be stupid to just lose those brands for nothing.

Yeah, some "amazing remasters"(i.e. most likely just some better graphics and UI we used to get fellow gamers making for games for free) will likely come out for like 2-3x the price, and I bet many will gobble em' up as usual.

This being EA we're talking about I haven't thought of them making any kind of smart decisions in very long time.

I am admittedly biased, but I find it hard to believe that EA, of all companies, would actually give a damn about such old games. Not only that, but that they would go the extra mile to remaster the three Syndicate games, what with each of them using a different engine, that it would take significantly more effort to do so than something like Aladdin + Lion King.
The removal of those games tells me that either EA sold the properties or no longer have the rights to them.

Not hard for me to imagine Nightdive buying the IP - the two "first-person" Ultimas, and all the Syndicates since they're "action-y" - as the company has grown in reputation and ability to make deals with "AAA" companies like Bethesda and EA. Hopefully they all come back (probable "remasters" with the originals) and even Syndicate 2012 showing up. (still no Doom 64 here tho :( )

This games definitely are up the Nightdive alley, only thing is afaik they never removed things before releasing their version. But could be EA decision.

EA didn't agree to provide Ultima name to OtherSide Studios with their Kickstarter project Underworld: Ascendant game, EA several times prolonged IP rights (publishing) for System Shock franchise. So I guess EA is an odd company but they never forget about their assets, even old ones like Command & Conquer games.
I'm not sure EA would go "extra mile" to remaster such old classics as Ultima Underworld and Syndicate, they would probably outsource it somewhere else and even license games publications to a 3rd party, if it's the case then removing those games is the only option.
