i guess this is as good a time as any to shamelessly plug my UltimaHacks patches, which add mouse-look (and a few other little features) to Underworld 1 and 2:

Great, this game deserves special care. Thank you for notice.

Would it be also possible fix game breaking bug in Ultima Underworld 1, when you have more than 256 items on one floor, which destroy savegames?

GamezRanker: Btw, I'm curious: If you could have one of the three games that are soon to be delisted, which would it be? ;)
To answer your question, it would be Syndicate Wars, because I heard a lot of good critics about it over the years.
I know there is a good source port for modern system, but it seems complicated to use with GOG version (Link).

Also, be prepared to see other older EA games removed from GOG in the future, as EA may be focused on its Origin client !

Tarhiel: And I stand by what I wrote to you back then - you were the one who didn´t bother answering, so why do you bring it now?
For the record, I stand by my statements, as well.

I guess word must have spread enough for all of them to pop up on the front page bestselling list (to beat out more expensive games that typically much more easily fill that list because of their price difference).

Given that I have several of the older titles available on Origin, I wouldn't mind it too much as long as they actually put some effort into getting their stuff working and restoring the old online services. The whole reason I started buying from GOG in the first place is because they actually care about this stuff.

Dunno which games it might be, but if the info another gogger shared with me is accurate, we are likely going to see more delistings(in general, I mean, not just of EA owned games) this year.

Query: let's say a gift key for said game mysteriously showed up in your PM box.....would you be ok with that? ;)

Hmm, i'm gonna guess it's less to do with GOG's/EA's method of announcing such, and more so others talking about the delisting elsewhere online.

Btw, to those in here doing so elsewhere online: y'all rock!

Sidenote: while it sucks EA is likely making some good bank off of this, it is good to hear that so many seem to be obtaining the games for their collections.

Tarhiel: I, for one, would be glad if they would post a news post about this, I also would not know audit this unless some other user mentioned it in other thread which I was reading at the time.

Definitely wouldn´t hurt to be more transparent about this. Not all of us go to forum everyday, and this removal is quite on a short notice.

Spectrum_Legacy: For me it was similar - my friend on steam told me about it after he read it somewhere (I dunno where, he doesn't use gog at all, despite I keep telling him about good deals and giveaways here). He just mentioned it to me because as he knows I like my old games and use gog... A bit ironic in a way that I as a gog-er haven't seen it myself, though in all honesty I rarely check other than game-specific subforums as general one is chock full of some forum roleplays and pretend games and theorycrafting stuff I can't relate too well with, nor care much about.
Stickying the post made it more visible to those who use general tab at least which is a lot better than nothing, though there's room for improvement like said email/newsletter mention (gog is pushing them out during sales and getting more users subbed via giveaways anyway), mention on the front page/news section, etc.

Maybe any mention of delisting on a platform is seen as a bad look by marketing or pr department, so they don't advertise any game's impending digital doom. I would understand that, but I'm sure that users are not only interested in arrivals here, but also departures, no matter how much it sucks to see.
Couldn´t have said it better myself.

I would say you gonna made my day : )
Bummer.

(Bought all of them. Good stuff.)

Well, besides us all here talking about it on GOG Forums, PC Gamer and Eurogamer did cover this news.

PC Gamer - https://www.pcgamer.com/ea-removes-ultima-underworld-and-syndicate-from-gog/
Eurogamer - https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2021-06-25-ultima-underworld-1-2-syndicate-plus-and-syndicate-wars-will-be-delisted-from-gog-on-monday

I'm sure that also helped.
Can gift keys still be claimed after delisting?

Absolutely !
@MaxFulvus, thanks!

I bought them. I have an emergency fund :)

To watch reviews and gameplays on youtube is one of my hobbies. So, I have watched videos from these video games, maybe 2 or 3 years ago. If I would have to choose one of them: Syndicate Plus.

tfishell: As an aside, something to remember is there are lots of free games, even DRM-free ones on places like itch.io.
Yes, I know it.

I meant that is very sad for a gamer he can't play ever those classics games due EA want them delisted. And I would like GOG inform us via email before a game was removed from his store, because I think it's at least as important as other email communications we receive from GOG.
