The short story is that once I knew a man. He was old and severely mentally damaged. When he was a young man, he served the army his last main job in the army had him to collect injured or dead bodies from the battlefield. He would constantly be given vodka (firewater (strong spirits)) to drink to be able to overcome the horrors. However, constant drinking and ongoing battles with bullets cutting air just a hair away from one's body, a constant chance to loose one's life... Watching comrades being severely damaged by bullets and grenades... All together these horrors have had a massive impact on man's psychological stability.

He would come and shout that either Germans or Soviet Army is attacking and any moment now planes shall deliver bombs. What's more, the triskaidekaphobia has played a huge part as this man used to serve in battalion 13. The word "battalion" might not be the accurate one, but it is the most accurate that I can tell in English. The man would shout that all of his comrades in battalion 13 were gruesomely murdered, that he is alone, that we are doomed and death is coming.


I could tell more, but lets leave it at that.
