Yes you do. This is not renting. Two very different concepts.
edit -what you do on both gOg and Steam is that you buy a license to play the game, and you go into an agreement to use either Steam or gOg services. This is very far from renting.
In fact (and this is a legal fact....) even if you buy a license for a game via Steam, and you later loose the steam service, you still have the game license. (you just cant use Steam for it anymore...)

Linux gaming is certainly in better shape than it was even a year ago and is continuing to improve, but it still lacks new release support from most major publishers. If you aren't looking to play things like Arkham Knight, Linux may suit you fine as a gaming OS.

Vilcas: You can look it up, you're essentially licensing the ability to play games.
Slightly off-topic on my own thread, but how do you guys feel about Linux gaming? I was looking into trying that after I see how W10 is.
