And now for something completely different.

Tracks - The Train Set Game is probably the cutest game ever made. This is an indie game currently in Early Access / beta. Basically, it is Brio trains in digital form, and a very one successful at that.

It is arguably not much of a game as such (i.e. goals and mechanics) it is all about building wooden train tracks and driving little trains on them. And pick up little people! It is more of a toy box / sand box kind of thing.

Anyway, it is extremely mellow and relaxed, something else then the endless killing. But you can crash the train if you build wrongly and drive recklessly.

This looks cool actually. I kind of wish it had more options than just a wooden train, but other that it looks really fun. Should ask the dev if they have any plans for a GOG release.

EDIT: They seem active on the Steam forum, so I posted a message there. Nobody seems to have asked about GOG yet.

Bought my brother this for Christmas, as he was getting all nostalgic about Brio last year. So when I saw a virtual Brio set... instagift.

Haven't got to try it myself though.

honestly... i don't see it going through gOg's curration, this is really the definition of niche.

it is DRM free on Itch, though.

Maybe... but it's also kind of unique and people love trains. Can't really say there is anything like it in the GOG catalog, plus we probably have a quite a bit of non-Steam buyers here.

Thanks but unless GOG changes their mind I probably just get it on Steam at some point... I have enough accounts with games, I don't need more. xD
