Great! Thanks Runic Games, as well as anyone else that was involved!
Nice surprise ! Thanks GOG and Runic Games : )
Ha! You got super-lucky OP.

I used a really old Humble key, Humble Indie Bundle 6. Unfortunately GOG still hasn't recognized the games yet.

_ChaosFox_: I'm going to hazard a guess that it was in response to this thread that GOG approached Runic.
Either that or MaxFulvus's conversation with Brian Ward did it. Either way, good on them :)
Just, LOL! :)
Awesome, yeah I saw it Barefoot_Monkey thanks for telling me tho, and thank you all who went to Runic asking about this, I don't think they'd do limited connect thing out of the blue like this if it wasn't asked for :D

This is great!
Hmm. I activated my Torchlight 2 key from Humble to Steam so that I could Connect it, but at first it didn't show me as being eligible so I clicked refresh, and now it's not even displaying either of the Torchlight games are being available.
I have a copy of Torchlight 2 in Steam and it's showing up in GOG Connect but is marked as "not eligible" for some reason :/
The first one is shown there but it's already in my gog library.
edit: Nevermind.

For my account both games are marked as 'not elegible'.
Anyone else with that problem?
What's the reason?

Thanks, I reinstalled Torchlight 2 and now it's showing up under eligible games!
Mine is still saying "Looking for eligible games. Due to exceedingly high demand this may take up to several days, please check back later. Thank you for your patience." since more than a day.

Since it's only up for a couple of days I'm starting to think I'm going to miss this offer :(

Barefoot_Monkey: edit: some corrections. Apparently you get a code only if you bought the game directly from Runic (or, presumably, as a physical product) and the key can be redeemed on Steam only if you bought it from Runic before 2 Feb 2015. If you have a code it should work on GOG but if not... well, MaxFulvus has contacted Runic's support about that and will let us know what happens next.

dyosoft: Do you guys plan on adding Torchlight games in GOG Connect? I see the game in reclaim page but Steam does not give key when purchased

Barefoot_Monkey: I don't think it will every be on Connect because you can already get it on Reclaim Your Games. That's similar to Connect except that it's a permanent offer, whereas Connect offers are time-limited. Thank you for making this thread though - I was able to claim the game for myself because of it (I didn't even know it had been added to the Reclaim page until seeing the replies here)

There are many different ways to buy their games, each with their own different benefits. You could:
- Buy a physical DVD from a shop so that you can play it without ever needing to touch the Internet at all
- Buy and download the game directly from their website
- Get the game on Steam, and use Steam to download, play and update it
- Buy the game on GOG and use the downloadable installer or Galaxy

Runic games has a really nice attitude toward its customers. Instead of making you pick one option and commit to it, they instead let you buy it in any one way yet own it on on all of the above sources.

All of this is handled from their website. You say you own Torchlight II on Steam? In that case go to the account manager on the Runic Games website, log in if you already have an account there or create a new account if you don't, and link your Steam account. The website will scan your Steam account and notice that you already own Torchlight II, and so add it to your Runic Games account. Then you can click on the big My Products & Keys button to access your product key (as well as a downloadable installer, in case you want to download the game directly without Steam).

That product key will magically work on GOG's redeem page
The Runic account will NOT give you a product key for your Steam version of Torchlight II.

The same problem here. I've been getting these "exceedingly high demand" errors for the last 3 - 4 weeks.
