rtcvb32: I guess? I remember the original Tomb Raider kinda as very annoying, death traps everywhere. Though i believe TR Legacy was basically a remaster of the first game.

MysterD: TR 2013 is great also - though I prefer Rise.

rtcvb32: Ehhh, way too bad of shaky cam. I tried replaying not too long ago, and it was unbearable.

Though when i had played it to completion, it was okay... but i'll put TR2013 as unplayable due to shaky cam.
I was wondering what TR Legacy was, I can't remember any game in the series being called that.

There is Legend, which has a somewhat similar name. There's also Anniversary, which I think is the game you were actually thinking of, as it is a remake (not a remaster) of the original game.

Just out of curiosity, I did a quick search on the internet and found out that there is indeed something called TR Legacy, but it's not a game but a fan film (and its plot has nothing to do with the first game either).

lol... you ps weebs!! ;p

Did i get the name wrong? Seems like it. Though looking at my list, now i'm not sure if it was Anniversary or Legend. Guess it doesn't really matter, it's hard enough to get into again.

To note other than TR 1 (Original DOS on 33Mhz machine at 320x200 graphics) and TR 2013 i haven't really played most of them; Though i remember my brother saying the most realistic thing in TR 3 (On PS1) was her ponytail hair swishing around during jumps. But i never got the chance to play that back in the day.

M3troid: I hope CD changed the gameplay.
You're out of luck then, remaster = same levels and everything BUT with improved graphics (debatable) and two control options which we know nothing about the so called "modern alternative" yet (keeping the same level layout with regular modern "movements" would be unplayable though.. so no idea what they're doing there).

wolfsite: Nice that it's coming here.

Hope they bring Rise and Shadow as well as the overhead Lara Croft games at some point to complete the series on GOG.

MysterD: Amen. I'd love to see Rise and Shadow here. Rise is way better than Shadow.
Shadow's good - but it ain't Rise.

TR 2013 is great also - though I prefer Rise.
Of the new ones for me Rise is #1, followed by Shadow then the original at #3.
The latest two parts had too much crafting and resource collecting in them in my opinion.
I prefer 2013, it was straight forward, had a good story rhythm. Rise was not bad, a bit too inflated maybe, too many hidden objects to shoot for some achievements or whatever. Micro transactions and trials/challenges were complete bullshit. Tomb Raider should remain story focused games.
Shadow was good at the beginning, but felt a bit meaningless towards the ending, but at least the crafting aspect was better than in its predecessor.

Due to all that microtransaction shit and worldwide ranking lists, these two games may never be available on GOG. But at least I got them for free on Epic.

Couldn't they just port Rise and Shadow to GOG w/out MTX's and without WorldWide Rankings?

IIRC, even Hitman: Absolution came to GOG - and that version on Steam had a WorldWide Ranking List for all of its modes (Contracts and the Campaign).

I'd guess they removed the WorldWide Boards for Hitman: Ab in the GOG Edition.

One game might be able to run offline and the other doesn't, don't know.

Are changes possible? Sure. Would it pay off?? Questionable, GOG does note sell a lot.

Well, hope dies last ...
If we keep up he 8 years difference (for whatever reason), Rise would be due this year, Shadow in three years.

But somehoe I don't see, why they don't want to make a few bucks here and instead give the games away for free on Epic.
