GOG.com forum has very lax (almost non-existent) moderation, so you can use your own judgement, most probably you will not be banned or censored either way. :) What many other GOG users seem to wish though is that people don't "revive" very old threads (especially by replying to very old messages), but rather start a new thread about the subject. That's called "necroing" old discussion threads.
Funnily, that is the exact opposite of another (travelling) forum where I used to hang around. There you'd get rebuked or even banned by the moderators for starting a new thread about a subject which was already discussed in some old thread (ie. you should always use the search function to find a similar, earlier, discussion).
