awalterj: I also got stick in Out There Somewhere

genkicolleen: Gah! I'm stuck, too! >_< There's a scene where you either have to have split-second timing, or I'm doing something wrong :p You know, I should youtube it to see if I'm trying the right thing, thanks! haha
I decided to quit the game at a point called "double jump" where you have to jump and teleport into a blue barrier to the left and then jump again before falling down and teleport to the right and then jump and teleport to the left into the blue barrier again and then again teleport to the right. There is an annoying bat flying around that follows you and tries to kill you as well as two ugly blob monsters on the ground. It's not that I don't know what to do (the puzzles are quite easy in this game), it's that I just can't pull off the "jump and teleport into blue barrier and make a second jump right away" move. I can only make it work once in a blue moon and in this part you have to do it twice in a row with a bat following you around. Apparently, most people have no problem with the controls but I keep confusing x and y in the worst moments and the controls feel completely random to me because sometimes I can make the jump work and sometimes not. The part I'm struggling with shouldn't take more than 5 seconds to complete but I died so many times that I unlocked 3 or 4 of those inane Steam achievements while trying and trying again, probably 20 times. I'd rather have a mental challenge than this "hit key at precise time" crap, it's not fun. I'm sure the game is very entertaining for people who enjoy platforming but it's not for me :/

At least it was a very cheap game and I like the music but I'm not going to aggravate myself over this any further, platforming is just not my thing.
I also decided to uninstall Shattered Planet, still not giving up on Tiny Bang Story although I have no motivation to continue considering I can't make it past the very first scene with the "find the 20 million puzzle pieces" holdup that only a 3 year old can solve without going insane.
I'm looking forward to playing Technobabylon the day after tomorrow (release day) because I currently don't want to play any of the 60 games I have installed at the moment.

You must have missed the gun ;) You can kill the blob monsters AND the bat, and that makes it much MUCH easier!

Go back to the area where the creatures are telling you that there's something hidden in the village. The entrance is at the bottom, and not that well-hidden.

I already had the gun but only shot at the monsters once which didn't make them go poof so I thought the gun doesn't work on them, didn't realize it takes two shots so thanks for the tip! Tried again and got rid of the enemies but still can't make the jump though. Thanks for the help but I'm putting the game on ice, no point in continuing if I'm not enjoying it anyway.

I haven't finished the game (or even got past the first screen) but genkicolleen and salarshushan would certainly know about the ending, perhaps you could ask them for more info on this game.

Once you get the final puzzle piece placed on the planet, you go to a scene with a bunch of the characters sitting together, then to a room where (I think?) you can access any of the puzzles from the game if you want to replay them.

By the way, I think that TBS would be too hard for children ;)

Ah ok. The mobile version has that room but doesn't allow you to redo any of the puzzles, unfortunately... Also, glad to hear your honest opinion is that the game is entirely too hard for children, even though I'm, uhhh, just asking about all this for the, umm, kid that owns that game *cough* *cough*.

I suspect it's probably just a front company!

I could certainly need the help of a child to clear that first screen, it's a simple find so and so many hidden objects task and kids are probably better at that than me, and some of them probably have more patience for that stuff, too.

(btw thanks for helping out Chad with his question)

Heh, the game gets much more complex as you move along~!
