Test your skills in classic football management game series from the 1990s. , [url=https://www.gog.com/game/anstoss_2]Anstoss 2 Gold Edition, and Anstoss 3: Der Fußballmanager are now available on GOG.COM separately or in a bundle with 10% discounts that will end on 16th July 2021, 1 PM UTC.

Please note that Anstoss 2 Gold Edition and Anstoss 3: Der Fußballmanager games are only available in German. While the rules of football/soccer remain universal, knowing the language of the four-time World Cup winners might be very useful to finish both titles mentioned above.

Is this the first time they've sold an English-unsupported game?

They really have broadened their curation of late.

There's one release only supporting polish. Have to look it up.

What about the World Cup Edition of the original Anstoss / On the Ball? That was a great game, and it's also in English.

If X means 10, its countdown clock is wrong.

I'm not into anything football at all, but according to friends those are among the best games ever from the football manager genre. A shame the later titles were never translated - I guess they could at least have found loyal fans in the UK.
These games are real classics in Germany. Will buy them all.
Finally!
Instabuy for me. Anstoss 3 is definitely one of the games I played the most in the last decades (probably even the one I played the most). Really glad that 1 and 2 also showed up.

Would've loved to see Anstoss Action as well (or the rest of the series) but I'm more than happy with Anstoss 3 alone :D
According to some old forum post (https://www.anstoss-juenger.de/index.php?topic=4118.0) there seems to be a Durch version of Anstoß 2

You should definitely make that clear in the store page.
I wish Anstoss Action was also included. That was combined with Anstoss 3 to let you play the games.

A few weeks ago Gerald Köhler was in the Stay-Forever podcast and I believe he (or maybe one of the hosts) talked also about that topic. As far as I remember the english release of Anstoss wasn't a success. I guess maybe a reason was that the UK had a different style of football manager games. English football managers had more a focus on tactics and coaching while german managers were more classical business manager. I can really recommend the podcast (german only) and especially the episode about Anstoss: https://www.stayforever.de/2021/04/anstoss-sf-108/

About the release: While I got the first Anstoss under the christmas tree I never really got into it, better saying it couldn't compete with my beloved Bundesliga Manager series. Anstoss 2 and 3 together with Civilization 2 on the other hand were the time killers of my life. I played them on a daily basis for years, Anstoss mostly together with friends (normally one season a day). I don't want to think about how much money I wasted for printing out team lists so everyone can go on to plan their teams while another player is on turn. I still believe Anstoss 3 has still today the best mix of enough stuff to do without being overloaded, like it is in Gerald Köhlers later EAs Footballs Manager series (where it felt to me I need a whole weekend just for the season preparation).

I'm curious to see how well the games will sell, they are international wise definitely a niche release, but real classics here in germany. Everytime someone is talking about football managers you will here stories about Anstoss, so depending on the media coverage (I expect some articles on tech sites like golem and bigger tech blogs like caschys blog) they can still sell well.

Edit: About the english language release of the first game I checked the podcast again. The relevant part is from 1:51:57 to 1:54:30. In short: Ascon released the World Cup Edition in different languages and was for their surprise successful in england. As result they released the first game in english and were crushed by the press (18% rating) and failed. Due to Köhler one reason was the humour.
