Fever_Discordia: X: Beyond the Frontier
Because... an X is a 'cross'... and the adapter crosses over from one connection to the other... and TET is upside down because... reasons?

cmdr_flashheart: He could be upside down because there's no right-side up in space...?

If it's one of the X games or series, oh man.
Nah, it's going to be Rex, everyone IS saying that Deep Silver are coming though so maybe, this year! Next week is Rex though, I'm pretty sure
Upside down? Mm.. well, it can't be Inversion..
Rex seems like a nice game, I am sure it will have a good reception on GOG.

Meanwhile, I'll just be holding a candle out for X, whenever it gets here.

Well deduced! I'd say that's the best guess as well.
Aah that can only be the game "Universal Soldier Bus". There you are a nameless Space-Bus driver hero who drives the soldiers to the various fighting grounds and then must wait. While you wait for the returning fighters (if some return) you can play pac-man, space invaders or polybius on the bus computer. After every driving mission you can make a sightseing tour through the galaxy to watch the most famous nebulas (therefore the nebula in background) or sell drinks to the soldiers. That's it.
But it's a very very very complex driving and waiting game!

With Jean Claude God Damme?
Tommo bringing it strong with the classics!

Of course. But he's only the driving teacher in the tutorial missions, where the game checks your driving and waiting skills. But personally I think it's more a namedropping thing, to push the sales. Alike the newer so-called "Sid Meier's games".

Edit: Serious now. I guess it's "Universe" from 1994, made by Core Design, which is/has been a part of Rebellion. And the majority of games in the actual weekend promo comes from ... ? Exactly, from Rebellion.
Or it's the older "Universe" from 1983, made by Omnitrend Software.
The First mentioned is an adventure, the second a "science fiction space trading and combat game".

tfishell: Hey can you PM or post here a link to that list again, or the PDF and the page number of Tommo's properties?

Pgs 74 and 75

and my list thread:

(I think there were a couple on the pdf list that I didn't include on my list because there seemed to be potential external licensing issues and a few didn't seem to have a PC version. One was a book!)
Thanks.
Interesting list :)
What time do the GOG releases usually go up? I'm an impatient type person, and am always very eager to see them. I thought they used to go up at about 5 am United States Central Time, but Daylight Savings Time has already started here in the US, but possibly not yet in Europe. Maybe that's what's throwing it off? Central Standard time is -6 UTC, where as Central Daylight Time is -5 UTC.

Does anyone know if I'm way off on any or all of this?

1 hour to go. US is in DST, Europe isn't yet. Last Sunday of March for Europe DST.

Nice, looks like I was right on then with my reasoning. Thanks! Stupid George W. Bush demanding that daylight savings time start earlier than the rest of the world.
