Bwahahahahaha.. Doubt we'll ever see that happen. :) I own the whole Bioshock franchise on Steam though so it'd be both awesome and a bit of a bummer to see it show up here, but more on the awesome side (for the community). :)

Sudden Strike: Resource War (or even the whole Sudden Strike series?) They have been released on DotEmu (their feed says last Thursday, got them in my feed account today, so maybe released today).

Makes sense with that quote, but what does it have to do with a shovel?

Shovel = digging = resources?
I'm quite sure it's Shovel Knight. Too bad we aren't getting a classic, though.
I'm probably one of the few people here that would much RATHER have Shovel Knight than a classic this week, if only because I'm DYING to play it finally.

I wish GOG had the manpower to provide two releases/week AND do the sale, but that's because releases interest me whereas sales are "meh".

I'd be willing to bet that it isn't a manpower issue at all but rather the sales promo is the prime attraction consuming the entire homepage and the majority of people's attention, and any new releases thrown out there during the major event will get totally lost in the noise. A game publisher about to release a game on a new distribution platform is going to want to get some prominent promotional airtime and doing that during a huge 2 week mega sale promotion is probably going to just be invisible for the most part, so publishers are more likely to schedule their releases to not occur while some other major thing is consuming everyone's attention. There was one release on GOG during the whole promo that I remember happening. Anyone remember what it was without looking? Sure, some of ya do, but I bet most people forgot it already or didn't even notice it. :)

That's my take anyway.
Shovel Knight:

Announcements! Streams! GOG! It’s Party Time!
Good news! We’ve been working with our pals at Good Old Games (GoG), and we’re happy to announce that Shovel Knight will be releasing on GoG on June 26th! GoG is a great service for both DRM-free classics and modern games. We are happy to provide another great option for players everywhere!

You’ll be able to get it here on June 26th: http://www.gog.com/

Xenonauts, I actually remember b/c of the comparisons to X-COM. ;)

Anyway, problem is GOG is then they're missing out on day-1 sales because I believe Steam is still releasing games, even though they're having a huge sale too.

But obviously we are getting Shovel Knight the 26th but no classic this week. Maybe next week, though, since the sale will be ending.

Dammit, I posted this in the unofficially confirmed release thread without looking here first, I feel pretty stupid right now. :P

I'm happy too:D Can't wait - Shovel Knight looks gorgeous, much better than a lot of classic platformers!
Just hope it is not that difficult like Rogue Legacy ;)
So where is it? It's the 26th already, late afternoon in Europe, noon on the east coast of North America, and 8 am on the west coast, I'd've thought Shovel Knight would be up by now.

Two hours according to Steam is when it will be released.
