It's Free-burg!

Crime, corruption, shaky pension security, a city that smells like cigarette breath ALL THE TIME - being a policeman in Freeburg is no easy job. But as the Chief of Police, you at least enjoy a certain degree of freedom, especially in the sandbox mode that just got added to This Is the Police. Once you're done with the main story, see how long you can survive when faced with an infinite number of days, new investigations, dynamic difficulty, 200+ new crimes, and more!

This update also brings Japanese language support (text only), and GOG Galaxy leaderboard support.

To celebrate, the game is now 50% off until April 10, 10AM UTC.

Check out the trailer.

Time to re-install this. I had a blast with the main story, sandbox mode sounds great.
Thank you for Japanese lunguage support.
So hype!!
Great deal. I was so memorised by This is the Police that my play sessions were accompanied by a glass of apple juice masquerading as whisky. It's noir, so expect jazz or swing music with morally ambiguous choices narrated by a no-nonsense police chief who happens to be voiced by Duke Nukem (Jon St. John).
Yes, awesome game that I highly recommend, finished a couple of months ago and will be reinstalling for sandbox
Read the reviews here on gog, and as a result have a question.

Does the game force you to play as a corrupt individual, even if that is not one's play style?

I am hoping there is a story line that allows for honest characters in the game.

Thanks for the help.

*very minor spoiler* As far as I remember you have to work for the mafia in order to bring them down (if that's what you wish to do) but you do not need to take all the jobs they give you, only some so that they don't get suspicious or think you're useless.

You can play kinda honest, this game is about showing you that being in charge of a PD is not always honest work and is difficult to be 100% upright
