When I asked Cyan if there was any hope of them working with Ubisoft to release Myst 3 & 4 on GOG, I got the following response:

Cyan: We hope to address this a little to the Mysterium crowd tomorrow. @GOGcom

Word out of Mysterium is that:

Cyan in "active" talks on getting Myst 3 and 4 up on Steam. "Definitely possible", not certain. #mysterium2015

GOG not being mentioned was an oversight, I hope.

That's great!. Thanks for this info Barry.
Voted and let's hope for the best.
Thanks for the info and increase of hope. I already voted long ago though.
Thanks for update.
Nifty!
Wow, I really hope GOG can complete the Myst series!
*Fist pumps the air*
This is the type of news I like to read while eating breakfast. :)
How many Myst games are there? Every where I looked there is always heaps of them.

Not counting ports to mobile platforms, 5 main ones, plus realMyst, a remaster each of the first one and RealMyst, and Uru which itself was split up(the online and singleplayer were separated and the online was shut down and re-opened with a slightly different title a couple times).
I'd count 8 (separating Uru and its MMO variant currently titled MO:ULagain (Myst Online: Uru Live - again), as well as Myst and realMyst, though grouping the latter two with their remasters).

Myst (plus remaster)
realMyst (and remaster)
Riven
Myst III: Exile
Myst IV: Revelation
Myst V: End of Ages
Uru (Ages Beyond Myst/To D’ni/The Path Of The Shell)
MO:ULagain

True. Also, 8 by my count, not 7.

Makes me think of Megaman. Great games initially but so many bloody spin off games.
I hope they do, I couldn't wait anymore, I bought the physical DVD versions of Myst 3 exile and Myst 4 revelations on Amazon. I bought the Limited edition version of 4, that way it came with DVD version of exile. Love the games, and having the physical boxes, but I would love to have the digital ones too.... since my Exile DVD sort of lags, every time I click the mouse to move to next screen, it pauses or hangs or lags, for a simple trace second, and the music repeats over and over for the quick second during mouse click.

Doesn't make the game unplayable, just slower, and sort of annoying. I tried compt. settings, and moving the game data folder to root drive etc. all the online help guides, did the full install option, still sort of lags for a second, but hopefully, if they release the two games online, they might fix it!
Good news indeed.

Hope it comes through!
