So yeah, I have no problems with a reviewer having a strong opinion on something but seriously?
The game is set in a world based on XI century central Europe. Finding a black guy would be close to impossible.

I'm offended that they didn't mention that the game is blatantly monsterphobic. I mean, Geralt mercilessly murders down hundreds if not thousands of monsters without remorse.

Come on, Polygon. Check your privilege.

I loled... That is all.

P.S.: If you people actually start having a serious discussion based on this, then I'll be very disappointed with you. With all of you, you hear me? :(
No transgender, gay, lesbian, asian, native americans and so on. Not politically correct, so no buy:D

Checks its wallet and goes shopping....

What do you want? Like Morgan Freeman in Robin Hood: The Prince of Thieves?
In medieval northern Europe there were no african, asian or other people. So deal with it. Women also were frequently abused in the middle ages because let's face it they are mostly physically inferior men. It's not misogyny, it's nature...

To be fair their were probably some "black" Moors in southern/coastal Spain

Pretty ridiculous complaint since you can't change the lore of the books the game is based upon.

And regarding black people in Europe in that century: Some people actually believed that a child of a black and a white person would be checked...

But definitely not in Scandinavia (Nilfgaard, anyone?) :)

But The Witcher is playing mostly in central/northern europe. Asians might be more plausible because of the mongols. And possibly some moorish traders might happen to be in some large ports. But it would be a seldom occurrence anyway.
Thanks for the link. I found the article well reasoned when it came to the misogyny claim. A little overboard at times, but not by much. I'm pretty sure Conan O'Brien's response was the expected one.
Oh no, lock the doors.
