A close look into the creation of the celebrated series.


The celebrations for the 10-year Anniversary of The Witcher are well underway and today we're featuring the six-episode documentary put together by No Clip for the occasion. It's a journey from the early days of CD PROJEKT RED, through the development of Assassins of Kings, then the time when they started building The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and of course everything that followed. It's a rather fascinating watch, complete with beautiful shots of Warsaw, interviews, anecdotes, insights, and behind-the-scenes footage (spoiler: a wild snowboarding Geralt appears).

How about this: Properly documenting something can have great benefits. It helps us to better understand things. Maybe think about that the next time you offer SNK-ports without any kind of manual.

I wish that more time was spent on the development process for Witcher 2. Since it was CDPR's first foray into the a much bigger world of public awareness, and they had to focus on their own engine, I feel that there is a big story to tell.

Excellent documentary! Fair play to Danny and his passion for these excellent gaming documentaries. Oh and the CDP RED crew is great! It's nice to see the other side of things :-)

Happy 10th Anniversary "The Witcher"!

I've already finished the first episode noted some things. The fact they were broadcasting cassette recorded games over the air and playing them back into their computers --genius!
