Crosmando: I heard on the grapevine that the reason GOG have been doing all these sales recently is because CDP are way over-budget on Witcher 3 and in danger of bankruptcy, but the game still isn't finished - thus the multiple delays.
You're gonna need a better source than the grapevine for anyone to believe you.
Some Polish guy over on RPGCodex, ofc it's legit

I agree, but the very early pre-orders don't look too good to me. And Cyberpunk has to be on hold forever. But now the game is feature-complete, so it should be pretty solid when it comes out.
Early preorders? Stardock opened preorders of GalCiv3 like more than year ago, when first alpha was released somewhere in March.

When I was trying to line up work on vineyards in Victoria in 2010 whilst homeless, I was told that I would be working on the "Australian team", which struck me as strange, given I was in Australia. It turned out that a lot of vineyards in Australia use illegal immigrant workers, that consist of 20-40 "pickers" with 1 person who can speak English, i.e. a "team leader", whose job it is to organise the slaves to work and supply food and accommodation, in return for being the sole person paid. The "Australian team" consists of 3 blokes. One to drive the tractor and 2 on either side helping with netting and buckets.

That's pretty much all I heard when I travelled "the grape vine". I have always wondered what happens to pre-orders when a company goes insolvent. I assume it is the same as it is with every big business that goes bankrupt: those whose tongues are in the right places get some form of payment for every $ owed (or write off the bad debt themselves against taxes) and everyone else can learn yoga if they want any tonguing goodness :P

toxicTom: I'm DMing a campaign that is extremely story heavy and complex. Since about 2003. The same campaign. And my players actually cheer if they get to use their dice more than once per evening.

Piranjade: I'm a pretty good DM but a pest as a player.
I tend to get all excited, happy and giddy if the story isn't extremely serious. And then somehow it all turns into Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Sadly I have only very rarely found time to play or be a DM in the last 3 years. I should really try to do it more often again. DMing, I mean. Not playing. Really, I'm not acceptable as a player.
DM: "Tarnicus, what do you do?" (for the 3rd time)
Tarnicus: "I am holding my sword in my left hand and my lantern in my right. *starts laughing*
DM: "Okay Tarnicus, we get that, what are you doing?"
Tarnicus: *looks at Chris and laughs as his facial expressions warp beyond thunderdome*
DM: "Tarnicus?"
Tarnicus: "I am holding my sword in my left hand...*cackles with glee*"

Moral of the story: don't try to play DND on acid.

I too prefer to DM and seem to do a much better job of it, even though I haven't played in centuries :)
I'd rather have a good product that has been delayed multiple times, than a shit product that was rushed or released before completion.
Something has been bothering me, lately. Does the delay have anything to do with IT???

Oh, I seriously hope not!
When a developer decide to leave a company, he can't care less the state of the project he's working on.

If he's stuffed, he stuffed.

And has happend long time ago, anyway.
