Has GOG changed its sales policies for the worse?

What on earth did you do to my account after the last update? Until yesterday (February 2nd, 2026) I was using it normally and able to make purchases in my local currency, and today, simply after an update to GOG Galaxy, I discover that I can't change the currency, language, or payment method?
That's what the message on the GOG website essentially says:

• "The products in your shopping cart are subject to state tax (New Jersey). The order total has been adjusted accordingly. By purchasing these products you confirm that you are currently located in New Jersey. If this is incorrect, please go to your account settings."

Are you excluding the Brazilian market, just so I know... or is this some kind of accidental screw-up with this last GOG Galaxy update?

On the website, this means they got location detection wrong, and the fix is to put anything in your cart, and go to the checkout page, where location detection will run again with more accuracy, almost certainly getting it right.

I would hope the same applies within Galaxy? If not, see if there's a way to clear cookies in galaxy, or log out / log back in? If all else fails, simply buy the game you want to buy on the website.

N.B. This is not the right thread for such a support question, though. This thread is intended to report game updates. If you have further questions, please start a new thread for this subject.

Stellar Tactics

v. 0.888

ADDED: Under advanced gameplay options, you can now disable auto-reload after combat. Auto reload is on by default.

UPDATED - Automated certain crafting tasks. When crafting there are two new options on the crafting UI. Both are off by default.
--FAST ASSEMBLY AND IGNORE CONDITIONS. When you begin crafting and select the icon next to ASSEMBLY AND CONDITIONS, all clicks are automated and status effects are ignored until completed.
--IGNORE FINISHING POINTS AND COMPLETE CRAFTING. Selecting this option will ignore the finishing points stage and immediately place the completed item in your shared inventory (backpack).
--For crafting items of the highest quality for your crew, you should disable these two options so you have full control over the final quality of the item being crafted.

UPDATED - Station storage popup when moving stacked items now responds to the mouse wheel.
UPDATED - Adjustments to mining speed at higher levels. Still much faster, but not ludicrous.
UPDATED - Refined ore can now be marked for sale in cargo.
UPDATED - In-game guide, BOARDING topic. Added a reference to derelict wrecks and the fact that you can mine them for ship components.
UPDATED - Drones are now FTL capable. You can now recall drones from any star system. That is, if a drone is mining or idle in another star system, it can be recalled if you have enough storage on your ship. As always, you cannot recall drones in FTL space or ground locations.

FIXED - A bug that was not correctly recording progress toward the Master Crafter achievement.
FIXED - Salvaging schematic unlocks were not displaying unlocked schematic popups at the moment a crafting schematic was unlocked. The next time you craft an item of a type that should have displayed the unlock popup, the notification will be displayed.
FIXED - System populations added for main story campaign locations.

GearCity

Updated to 2.0.0.15 HF1` (Galaxy and Offline Installers (Windows, Linux and Mac))

No Changelog, but this steam discussion implies it fixes "WW1 not starting".
Thank you!

The measures you suggested did not reverse the change I reported on the website. Simply put, the localized language, currency, and payment method that were available have disappeared.

But from what I've checked, the changes haven't affected the Galaxy; I can still buy things the way I was used to.

Geralt_of_Rivia: Talisman: Digital Classic Edition

Update to V85584.

No changelog.
Changelog for build 85584

From https://steamcommunity.com/games/talisman/announcements/detail/536623744410455011:

Hi Talisman fans!

We've just rolled out a small patch for Talisman: Digital Classic Edition on all platforms, which includes the following changes and fixes:

* The game now enables the 'revealed endings' setting by default. It also defaults to selecting the 'Crown of Command' as the initially selected revealed ending by default.

* Fixed an issue where changing region would sometimes cause the online menu to become un-interactable

* Previously, the Wishing Well from The City Expansion wasn't working correctly, specifically when you re-rolled your die. This has now been fixed, and the card works as written even when you re-roll. So go make a wish! ⛲

Alongside these fixes, we've also resolved a seperate issue where some Android players were unable to resume online games. We know that many of you play using cross-play between the Steam and Android versions, so we hope this helps your online games run smoother!

As always, if you notice any bugs or issues in Talisman: Digital Classic Edition, please report them here on the Steam forums so our team can investigate them.

And finally, from our small studio, thank you as always for your support!
