I have been working all week on getting the Cloud saves withe crossplatform compatibility working... it was a fail. I am extremely close, but for some reason, random files are being ignored during the save folder transfer.
I suspect the reason for these issues revolves around the large number of files that create the Astrox universe, but I am not sure yet. I will keep working on this in the following weeks, but just wanted to give everyone a heads up on what is going on with that.

** Unity 6 Astrox Imperium Beta Branch.
If you would like to test out Astrox Imerpium in the new Unity 6 you can do so by right clicking the game in your library, and then Properties. This will open up a panel that will have an option for BETAS.
Click that tab and in the Private Betas area, enter 'unity6astrox' in the textbox. This will create a branch for Astrox Imperium allowing you to test the new Unity 6 version before the launch next week in build 151.

- Fixed Refine missions to calculate space required and prevent you from accepting the mission without proper cargo space.
- Fixed Fabricate missions to calculate space required and prevent you from accepting the mission without proper cargo space.
- Fixed issue with sandbox difficulty layout alignment. Button position now scales properly.
- Fixed scripting command for BUY_SKILL_LVL. was not functioning properly due to mislabled command.
- Fixed Null Reference Bug caused by cloak timer on the active player ship. Recently removed objects will now be ignored and no longer will the code try to access their script.
- Fixed Bug that caused replacement of start skills with profession skills in the sandbox. Duplicate skills are now added together.
- Fixed bug showing tactical sphere orb around sector when tactical sensors mode is activated.

- Adjusted autoscaler for UI when game detects steamdeck resolution.
- Adjusted Temple station in Void Starcross to offer missions and university services. This will only be visible on new campaign games. Existing games will not be adjusted.
- Adjusted combat module fire to ignore crates. Non combat / damage related modules like Tractors still work.

- Added new Scripting Editor Commands list to pull from internal list of available commands rather than the static list with descriptions.
- Added Command list descriptions to each command in the internal command list array. These descriptions are displayed in the Script Editor's New Command panel.
- Added 6 missing scripting CMDs to the master diplay list so your can add these commands via the UI panel instead of having to hand code them with notepad.
these new commands are WARP_KEY, DOCK_AT_STATION, UNDOCK_STRUCTURE, BUY_SHIP_BASESTAT, BUY_FACTION, NPC_ESCORT.

Just a note that Microtopia is updated to 1.0.8b, however there's no changelog, not even on Steam, which appears to have 1.0.8a as the latest. It also doesn't work for me, as I just get a black screen after "press a key to continue". Granted I'm using Wine, but up through 1.0.8a it works flawlessly, so maybe stick with that if you own the game. (Also a note that the patch files are as large as the game itself, which seems like it kinda defeats the purpose....)

EA (Mini) Update 4: Faster Loading Times!

Hello everyone!

The full release of Die in the Dungeon is now officially three weeks old, and the updates aren’t stopping anytime soon! This time, we're bringing a much-needed optimization along with a mix of other bugfixes.
Shorter Loading Times

That’s right! After some deep changes, we’re happy to announce that loading times between tiles should now be noticeably shorter. We appreciate your patience, it took some time to address this issue as we had to modify critical parts of the game, but we hope this optimization makes your runs much smoother now!

Quick note: The transition time between areas remains unchanged for now. Since it only happens twice per run at most, we plan to optimize it in a future update.
Addressing a Couple of Long-standing Issues

Thanks to your feedback, we were able to pinpoint and fix a few recurrent issues, including the numbers "3" and "8" being hard to tell apart, and softlocks when using certain dice combinations or interacting with enemy dice. For a full list of fixes, check out the changelog below!

Changelog for Die in the Dungeon EA Version 4.1.9 (109.1f0):

- Fixed long loading times between map tiles.
- Fixed softlock when rapidly using dice with Flash and Heavy properties on the board.
- Fixed softlock when Ant Dice interacts with Haste slot from Winged Sandals relic.
- Fixed music not playing after certain transitions.
- Fixed "Look Mom, No Heal" achievement to correctly trigger when not using heal dice.
- Fixed multiple typos in French.
- Modified run score to take into account starting HP of each character.
- Modified relics UI when the map is open to prevent relics from overlapping tiles.
- Modified font to make "3" and "8" characters more distinct.

What's Coming Next?

In the immediate future, we’re focusing on bringing full controller support as soon as possible! A beta branch for players to test will be available very soon, so stay tuned!

Beyond that, we’re working on lots of new content for the coming weeks, including:

- New relics to support even more playstyles!
- A rework of the Elite Battles to make them more unique!
- A brand-new mechanic that will give players more agency during runs!

A new way to shape your run is coming… Can you guess what it is?

A few bugs slipped through in the last update, including some shy dice hiding behind the hand tray!

Full Changelog:

- Fixed dice rendering behind the dice tray after opening the backpack while the map was already open.
- Fixed extra value from High Ground relic incorrectly resetting at the end of the turn.

Battle Brothers:

This update brings a bucket load of fixes accumulated over the last year, as well as some small content additions. You heard that right: There’s actual new content for Battle Brothers, for free.

We added two new legendary locations to discover in the world with unique fights against several entirely new enemy types, offering a fresh challenge to the jaded mercenary. Can your company hold their own against the shambling horrors that are golems molded by cultists out of the flesh of the fallen? Can they overcome the Grand Diviner’s dark arts?

These new legendary locations are conjoined by a small narrative told through illustrated events. While the first location, called the ‘Abandoned Village’, is suitable in difficulty for mid-game companies and can be found by simply exploring the world, the second location is more difficult and will be revealed only after the first one has been conquered. Both locations offer new loot and legendary items as reward for overcoming their challenges.

A new campaign is required for the new content to be accessible. All other changes and fixes mentioned below will apply to existing campaigns as well, though.

Microtopia updated to 1.0.8bb...still no patch notes (still on 1.0.8a on Steam so probably something GOG-specific), but whatever else it does, it also fixes 1.0.8b so the game works again. Presumably there's no need for 1.0.8bbb, and hopefully not 1.0.8bbbb either.
