No, when I asked the developers of Perception about GOG updates for us backers who wanted the game on GOG, they replied "we are no longer on GOG". So either it's not normal or they are just being ... them.

It is absolutely not normal but when The Long Dark got removed the dev already said that they will continue to update it. I was sceptical to be honest - otherwise I might have purchased it back then - but then they really kept your word since this is not the first time after removal that they have updated their game on GOG as well.

Well, keep in mind that the jerks that made Perception already refused to update GOG when it was still listed. I asked them a few times and they said that they have "issues" - never explained what these issues were ... then GOG said that they are working on a solution and then the game was removed without ever being fixed. I never purchased the game because of the devs behaviour but I have been told that the game on GOG still has a game breaking bug.

Version 2.712 Civilian Pause
(Released December 31st, 2020)

Changelog

Under the hood, the game has always had a "toggle pause" command that basically says "whatever the state of pause is when I execute, invert it."
This was problematic in multiplayer, as several people might hit pause at the same time, or might repeatedly hit pause if there's a lag situation, and this would cause lots of confusing inversions. Now what happens is that if it's unpaused locally, it sends a pause command. If it's paused, it sends an unpause command. This way, even if 16 people hit pause all at once, it will be 16 pause commands, 15 of which are redundant. It won't be 16 state flip-flops with a result of unpaused since it was an even number.
Hopefully this solves all of the pausing woes in multiplayer, but if not then please let us know and we can consider some more harsh methods that might subtly irritate people if we're not careful (things like "can't change pause state for a short time after it was just changed, etc"). The latter can always be a tuneable option if that's where we have to take it.

And I can't believe that the Supraland Demo has been updated. That wouldn't make any sense at all since the dev has pulled the game off GOG.

Angel Mode ("easy" mode) - reduces damage taken and enemy/boss speed by a %, increasing by 2% every time you die (max 50%). All achievements can still be obtained this way. Character has a halo while this is on. (Removed the halo you get from saving hostages). It's separated into two sliders and can be toggled on and off at any time.

Hopefully this optional accessibility mode allows more people to enjoy the game without removing all the challenge for it. I liked the idea of making the game slightly easier, the more the player dies, so that they are always making progress!
