[FILE UPDATES]

* File added: Patch 1.13.16271 [Windows] --- File size: 335.0 MB --- Version: 12068 -> 12764

* File added: Windows installer, English --- File size: 499.0 MB --- Version: 1.13.16271
This change looks very strange.
I suggest every owner keep the old installers for a while.

Old files:
746992 setup_offworld_trading_company_1.13.15846_(12068).exe
838648944 setup_offworld_trading_company_1.13.15846_(12068)-1.bin

New files:
523748336 setup_offworld_trading_company_1.13.16271_(12764).exe
351834328 patch_offworld_trading_company_1.13.15846_(12068)_to_1.13.16271_(12764).exe

New installer is 301 MB smaller than the old one.
And the patch is 336 MB, that is 42% of the old installer, and 67% of the new installer.

Just appeared an update for Balrum.

It should be for the macOS installer only, since the version shown as 1.23(fixed).
There's no new changelog entry and the version remains 1.23 for Linux and Windows installers.

EDIT: X3: Terran War Pack just appeared as updated too. There's no new changelog entry and the version has not changed either.

I'm thinking that these are retrospective notifications for updates and we are going to get many more. We'll see.

I got update flags!
Woop! Woop!
Is it my birthday...? ;)

Also:
I dunno if I missed the post for this one, but
gwent_the_witcher_card_game
is at 1.2.10.31 (‎06 ‎June ‎2017)
Also got two update flags one for Last Door Season 1 and one for Broken Age. However both updates seem to be quite old so I whonder if they actually are updated again.

ConnieThunder:
I'm not sure the updates are recent. See my previous post above yours.

Could you confirm that the games' versions have been changed?
Post edited June 19, 2017 by vanchann
No sorry, I don't have them installed.

However, the file names and digital signatures timestamps are newer than I had.
I grab the latest files anyway, regardless of 'internal' game updates. :)
Reminder to gog that we have outstanding unresolved and fixable issues with War Wind 1 and Corsairs Gold as per the following links:

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/fix_the_single_player_scenario_issue_with_war_wind_1

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/fix_the_missing_adventure_mode_in_corsairs_gold

Would be great if those could get fixed before the end of the sale or at least a reconfirmation that they will be fixed.

I've seen several updates to it showing up in the Galaxy APIs, just didn't think anyone was interested. I'll add it to my watch list from now on ;).

As for the update flags everyone is seeing, they're probably just ghost flags for previously reported changes. I'll let muntdefems cover the batch changes for today as usual, but, excepting Rogue Wizard, nothing got updated recently from the ones you've listed so far.

[Part 3 of 8]

---------------------------

Death Road to Canada has probably changed

[CHANGELOG UPDATED]

(Continued from last post)
New Perks
- Top Seller: Prevents morale loss when paying food tolls to bandits, and also provides a discount to these tolls. In addition, gives you more food when selling to the weapons buyer.
- Pathfinder: For people that hate walking. Drastically reduces the amount of walking penalty events you get.
- Hidden Potential: Either strength or fitness will be able to go one point over maximum. This is randomized, and hidden from you.
- Trademark Weapon: Start with an aluminum bat! Can't drop it, ever. This weapon will change if paired up with certain traits! Example: Warrior starts with a Fire Axe, instead!
- Natural Shot: Over maximum shooting, though doesn't actually start with a gun.
- Shield of Hope: You can't die. As long as you keep your morale up.
- TST*C: Massively over-the-maximum strength! Tiny, tiny fitness. Does NOT do cardio!

New Traits
- Travel Light: Only gets two carrying slots, but starts with a bonus dexterity point for faster runspeed.
- Specialist: Big BERSERKER!-esque bonuses to combat skills, but you only have one carrying slot!
- Grappler: Pick up fallen zombies! And also...
- Hero Type: If someone in the team would have died in a text event, this character will save them. Only works once per game, after which it converts to a max loyalty trait.
- Anime Fan: Has an overpowered unbreakable True Japanese Steel Katana. Warning: Do NOT hit max morale. Do NOT look at anime. Do NOT interact with the anime truck.
- Sound Sleeper: Does not get TIRED from events, ever.
- City Seeker: Finds rare city encounters three times as often as a normal character.
- Tiny Eater: Needs only 1 food per day instead of 2. Gets a -2 penalty to max strength and a -1 penalty to max fitness.
- Gourmand: Eats 3 food per day instead of 2. Gets 1 point of morale whenever they eat! Loses 1 more morale than normal if starving.
- Phoenix: Character will return from the dead, once, in a giant zombie-clearing explosion.

Tnomey, the Trader Gnome
- Shows up in every trading camp, and has different random item choices that all cost Zombo Points to buy!
- Can buy ONE thing from him per game, at which point he stops appearing for rest of game.
- Can be unlocked and upgraded via the Unlock Gnome in Zombo Town
- Tier 1 items (10 ZP): Supplies, and a random Normal Recruit event. No special characters.
- Tier 2 items (20 ZP): More supplies. Battle Rodents. Some simple ranged weapons or a grenade.
- Tier 3 items (30 ZP): Even more supplies. Random Special Character from the GOOD list. Sledgehammer or Fire Axe.
- Note: Read below for details on what constitutes the GOOD and BAD special character lists.
- Tnome's inventory changes if he's seen and you enter a new camp.

Zombo Town
- INFO button replaced with UNLOCKS button, which leads to Zombo Town.

- BUILD INFO character added
- Build Info robot also gives directions
- Stats character added
- Support for changing Zombo Town as unlocks are purchased

New Player-Usable Weapons
- Sturdy Cleaver added, for some Trademark Weapon trait combos
- Ded9 added, sold by HONK. As strong as the Dolt revolver, fires as fast as the pistol. Carries 80 ammo instead of the dolt's 60 or pistol's 90.

New Special Character Only Weapons
- Modded Ded9: Very accurate, tiny recoil. Dolt strength zombie piercing, and fires slightly faster than the pistol! Carries 120 ammo.
- Skateboard: Dont have cow man
- Guster Sword: Like a claymore, but hits even harder. Is also 25% slower.

Passive Unlocks from Unomey the Unlock Gnome
- Series of upgrades that increase your Zombo Point maximum capacity. The first two can be gained for free by beating the game up to Deadlier Road mode.
- Series of upgrades that give you bonus ZP for performing different actions: Rescuing people/dogs, selling to a weapons buyer, recruiting new allies. The final upgrade gives you 1 ZP whenever an ally dies (!!!)
- Toilet Upgrades. Lots of toilet upgrades. The first two levels double the gas and then bullet amounts from toilets.
- Level III Toilet Upgrade lets toilets sometimes contain a weapon or skeleton, introduces new loot types, and raises the toilet loot chance to 30% up from 20%
- Level IV Toilets make Toilet Genies show up every 50 toilets, instead of every 100.
- Unlocked the Trader Gnome, then sells upgrades to increase the things that Tnomey sells.

- Game now supports 10 custom character pages!
- Toilet Paper event now gives a zombo point if you keep the TP.
- One less trader event and one less familiar recruit event in the calendar cycle
- Calendar cycle shortened to 10 days instead of 11
- Special characters separated into GOOD and BAD special lists. The BAD list isn't randomly selected by TNOMEY's random special character option. It includes both characters that kind of suck, and characters that are good but time limited, making them disappointing to get if you spend 30 ZP on them.
- Hunting Rifle no longer breaks in melee
- Fixed some old instances of left/right character flipping not working correctly
- Fixed a very old bug with Friend of Dog that made it roll twice for dog
- Future support for stat average checks for the entire team.
- Set a deprecated CHARM stat to "0" (which is 3 due to being a stat).
- Future support for new locations

- Removed a useless extra 1 in longroad setup.
- Removed old code for the longer game modes that accidentally made their last few days have nonstop sieges. Woops! That bug's been in for almost a year.
- Fix for persistent echo effect
- Breaking your old car, then driving off in a new car on the same map should no longer cause the game to bug out and force you to be walking.
- Yallmart trader camp should no longer have those weird concrete patches in the Northwest corner
- Possible fix for the "character in text event staring at nothing" bug
- Fix for the bug that would cause you to lose characters if you got kicked out of a trader camp while your teammates were in a different building than you
- Lots of small fixes and small things I left out of this list

[CHANGELOG UPDATED]
Patch 1.0.8.32661 (19 June 2017)

- We're currently busy migrating the game to Unreal Engine 4.16, adding more controls options for VR and implementing the long-awaited Hardcore Mode. While doing so we received a few alarming reports about a problem with the very last mission of the game. It must have found its way in with the last hotfix - so we decided to branch to the old code base and hotfix the hotfix.

Here's the tiny little list of changes for this patch:
- Fixed very last mission not progressing correctly
- Fixed Predetermination glyph incorrectly removing all jump suppressors

Expeditions: Viking has probably changed

[CHANGELOG UPDATED]
Patch 1.0.5 (16th June 2017)

Hello, and thanks for checking in with us again. Today we've released update 1.0.5 for Expeditions: Viking. In addition to some bug fixes, this version contains several major changes to game balance that I will outline separately before we get to the change log.

New caps on skill ranks

The most significant change we've made is to introduce caps on all skill ranks based on the total amount of skill points you've spent. Ranks 1 and 2 are freely accessible, but in order to upgrade a skill to rank 3 you must have spent a total of 100 SP. To reach rank 4, you must have spent 175, and to max out a skill at rank 5 you must have spent a total of 250 SP. Recall that you begin the game with 50 SP and that there is a total of just over 300 SP in the campaign. The result is that you'll have no skills above rank 3 when you go to Britain, and you won't be able to level up to rank 5 until quite late in the game.

This update trades away some freedom of choice to enforce a better levelling curve. Previously, we let you max out your weapon skills quite early in the game, with the predictable result that you would outpace the enemies before you even reached Britain, and the enemies wouldn't begin to catch up until near the end of the game. Now, you're forced to distribute your points among the different categories, perhaps buying some Utility and Passive skills for a more well-rounded character. This does have the drawback that characters will be a bit less specialised, but the improvement to the game's difficult curve is profound.

Surprise round on enemy initiative

A new feature is the so-called Surprise Round, which occurs when you trigger an encounter where the enemy acts first. Previously the enemy would get a full turn before you had any chance to position your hirdmen. Since there is no formation system in the game, this felt unfair. From version 1.0.5 and onwards, the player always acts first, but in encounters where the enemy would previously begin, the player will not have any attack action, nor a bonus action in the first turn. In other words you can only move or change your weapons in your first turn because your party was caught by surprise. This has also allowed us to change the initiative back to Enemy-first on all the encounters that were previously set to Player-first to avoid unfairness. The result is a slight but significant increase in difficulty in many encounters throughout the game.

Bear in mind that this update is not the final word on difficulty. These are major changes that will fix our difficulty issues, but they are not intended to increase the upper ends of difficulty on the Hard and Insane settings. The next update will contain more tweaks intended to make the Hard and Insane settings live up to their name, as well as the promised Iron Man mode.

And now for the full change list. As with the 1.0.4 update, I have divided it into two sections: one for changes and additions, and one for fixes. Since this update has a far greater variety of changes than previous patches, I've decided to further subdivide each section into categories based on the type of change or fix.

Changes and additions

New stuff
- As explained above, added new "surprise round" feature to allow player positioning before enemy turn when ambushed
- Added full Danish localisation
- Added three new campsite scenes to the Denmark campaign for improved visual variation: Plains 2, Marsh 2, and Deep Forest
- Added new animations for Taunt and Dust abilities
- Added a new generic support ability animation for when you're wielding a spear
- Added an animation for consumable utility items (ie. drinking potions)

Skills and items
- As described above, skill upgrades are now capped by your total amount of SP spent, so you must spend 150 SP to upgrade a skill to rank 3, 200 for rank 4, and 250 for rank 5
- Made substantial improvements to the algorithm that assigns skills to enemies by rank and archetype, which will increase the effectiveness of enemies throughout the game
- Made the Archer archetype use axe and shield instead of dane-axe or spear, and changed the loadouts of all Archer characters in the game accordingly
- Items crafted with the Artisan skill can no longer get the "Cursed" property
- Decreased the cost reduction for repairing and the gain % from deconstructing items
- Discarding a weapon will now yield at least 1 Salvage or Hide even if you have no Repair skill
- Increased item degradation during combat from 1 point per crit to 10% of max durability per crit
- Added a 50% chance each round that a character is on fire that they'll get a Burn injury - subsequent rounds of being on fire then has a 25% chance of the injury deteriorating
- Taunt will now make the target move towards the caster even if they can't entirely reach them - they'll just move as far as they can
- Changed the Aimed Shot ability to have a 40% damage penalty instead of a 5 percent-point crit chance bonus, and changed Sharpshooter to reduce that penalty from 40% to 20%
- Sharpshooter now requires Bow on rank 3, Steady Hands no longer has a skill requirement, and Backstabber now costs 4 SP instead of 8
- Accuracy for ranged attacks now falls off by 6 points per hex instead of 5
- Walk Your Shots now reduces the per-hex distance fall-off for ranged attacks back to 5 instead of simply adding 5 points every time you take a shot
- Parrying no longer cancels all damage from the parried attack - the parrying character takes damage as normal, but with the doubled base DR from Parrying
- Changed Opportunist so that attacks of opportunity now apply Stunned to the target if you have the skill, instead of just giving you an extra AoO every round - also raised its cost from 3 SP to 6
- Increased the damage of Hailstorm from 50% normal attack damage to 75% normal attack damage and reduced its charges from 2 to 1
- Changed Stone Fists from a 10 point bonus to Melee Damage to a 10 point bonus to Armour Piercing damage
- Raised the cost of Powerful Kick from 6 SP to 9
- Revive is now restricted to 2 charges
- Gave pit traps a massive damage buff
- Increased all Tinkering material costs
- Reach weapons no longer inflict non-lethal damage at close range, since this was not explained anywhere

Encounters
- Changed quite a few of the encounters in the game to have the enemies start, which is no longer frustrating now that we have the surprise round feature
- Nerfed the damage of all wolf types except the Wolf Mothers, whose damage is now doubled
- Added a couple of guards in Perth's treasury and set all the loot in the main area to Owned - when you visit during the betrayal, the guards have been killed and the loot is no longer Owned
- Buffed all occupied campsite fights in Britain and tweaked the cover in some of the scenes
- Buffed the assassins in Ribe
- Buffed the fight against the youngsters in the Ravine Cave
- All the bounty fights have received a significant buff
- Added reinforcements to both of the wall fights during the invasion of York
- Doubled the number of enemies in the prisoner room fight in York's dungeon
- Made Leofric and Steinn brown-haired and made Steinn waaa-hay-haaay more badass
- The monks and nuns in Lindisfarne Church and the Scarborough Convent will now run into corners and cower in fear when you attack (the Cower animation is new)
- Made the female guard outside the Skerninge passage grave drop a damaged, cursed chain mail upon her death
(To be continued in the next post)
