kbnrylaec: Many old codes could not be compiled smoothly in new toolchain/compiler.
Even if they could, finding new bugs and debugging will be very difficult.

Keep the old published binary code is much much more reasonable.
It's possible to use the old compilers. I asked because there are some bugs in Pacific General, e.g loading a savegame will give you a second time the reward for winning a scenario, so you have much in-game currency and don't play the game how it has been designed (also some smaller issues like some cities being shown as controlled by the player but that's not true or AI 1 attacking AI 2 after you were at war with both and AI 2 moves into a city which belongs AI 1).
