Per the description (and the price), this should include the Stellaris base game (and thus be an edition), but it currently requires it. I've contacted support about this.

I recall another similar case within the last two weeks of an intended edition requiring the base game rather than including it. Does anyone remember which game that was?

It got corrected to an edition entry, so I guess it contains the base game correctly now.

The mac versions are truly new products, though I find it incomprehensible that they didn't simply add a supported OS to the existing products.

If any existing owners read this: Do you now own this new "Windows Edition" product, and if so, did you also receive the "macOS Edition" product?

Seems to be another ID. According to the shop, I can buy both versions but in my library, I own both. But the linked shop page within my library goes to the "new" game. Within my purchase history, the MacOS version has just been added for free but it says it costs 100 dollars normally.
