RedRagan: Wait, there's special deals within deals? How do I miss that? Where I can check this snowflake deal?
avatar
kai2: They are on the main storefront page under "snowdrop deals." They changed every 48hrs (2x so far) but there are no games listed there currently,
I checked and I noticed there is a snowdrip deals. Man I feel foolish not noticing that deal.
Now the whole section is removed (or not displayed for me at least), so it wasn't mistake and there will be no more of them?

Maybe it's just me and only I see it that way, but to me it looks like they test on production environment.
Which if real would be profoundly unprofessional and irresponsible.
The section with Snowdrop deals (Flash Deals) will be removed if there are no further offers. That's why it's gone.
It might seem that there would be more flash sales, just not all the time, unlike the practice of past sales. Maybe.

That Snowdrop Deals were quite weird, to be honest. After first two we had some random offers being less interesting than some other regular deals. One of rounds was 2 offers of the same game, two different editions. It looks like "let's put there anything just to keep it rolling". And even that was too much as section became empty yesterday and finally disappeared today :D

I always thought the whole GOG is just a development environment for some real store operating in another galaxy ;)

Really hard to notice that bar when it was so small I even miss it when it was on front page. Felt like very half hearted deals.

With that "Watch out for blooming surprises!" on front page I expected something more as an opening of second week of the sale, but it seems to be only this one new deal:
• $15.99 • -20% • Return of the Obra Dinn
So there won't be any new snowdrop deals until april 5th? I have waited for a couple of days now before placing my order to see if there were better deals for one game or another, but - if not - I can buy the games right away^^

pkk234: Wait there were flash deals?
Yes .
Think I'd rather pay full price than go hunting for Flash sales on the front page since the redesign a few years back. I specifically bookmark the "Forum" page and that's how I've accessed GOG ever since. Surely that wasn't the intention of the design team, but it's how things are. Remember when pages loaded right away without all the unnecessary (for customers) bells and whistles?
As the subforum for Darkside Detective is not overwhelmly crowded...and the game is on sale i would like to place my question here: i mentioned an entry on exophase that DD seems to get achievement support (maybe because the second season will appear soon here and this one will have trophies). But: on exophase there us only one trophy present and its name seems not to match with any of the steam ones...

If somebody own the game and uses Galaxy: could you please kindly check if there are trophies supported now?

Thanks in advance.

The opening snowflake offers were pretty solid, though:

1) Heroes of Might and Magic III, practically free. A must-have for a large portion of GOGers, many newer ones may not have it.

2) Wasteland Remastered. Makes Wasteland more accesible for people who did not get to play the original back in the day (which arguably sports an interface that is not so easy nor intuitive for players used to more modern games).
