Sarafan: Just Cause 2 is the best game in the series. It even has a very decent driving model which was a big problem in all of the other games from the franchise. I'd certainly recommend it. :) Just Cause 1 is a little outdated in comparison to the sequel, but it's still a quite good game. For this price it's definitely worth checking.
your opinions on 3 vs 2?

Hey, isn't that link to Agony above still broken? If so, can you contact staff about it?

The third one is also a good game. I would position it right behind JC2. The shooting is fun like always, but the driving model is much worse in my opinion. Basically all of the JC are quite similar in gameplay, so if you're considering to play JC3 and you like this kind of games, give it a try.
A few games tempt me:

HuniePop - but not sure if it got enough of a scare factor.
Pathologic Classic HD
Hector: Badge of Carnage - Full Serie
Banner Saga
Hand of Fate 2
Iratus: Lord of the Dead

And Noita is on sale, so yet again I'll give it my recommendation.

I like them all but JC3 is probably my personal favorite. The graphics are stellar in that one, Medici is a beautiful archipelago to roam about - really gives you that impression of a tropical paradise (a concept that clashes quite nicely with the opressing militia).
Also the wingsuit is a fun way of traversing the world.
Is The Shore a new game or was it previously released elsewhere?

If so, anyone have opinions? Not usually an adventure type game fan, but I like the minimal addition of combat and the subject matter / look of the game are right up my alley - plus it's pretty cheap - but I've finally joined the "Oh my God, that backlog" club and I'm trying to be a bit more selective ;)

Any impressions?

MarkoH01: Nope, it is GOG - all it would take is a valid age verification. Such games aren't banned in Germany at all.

W3irdN3rd: https://www.forbes.com/sites/jumio/2021/02/01/online-gaming-new-year-new-age-restrictions-for-european-operators/

List of validated age verification systems: https://www.kjm-online.de/aufsicht/technischer-jugendmedienschutz/unzulaessige-angebote/altersverifikationssysteme

There are plenty of things to criticize GOG for, but I don't blame them for this. Age verification (beyond asking "are you 18+?" and accepting "yes" as the answer) is an invasion of privacy by design and a complete waste of time.

Teens in Germany could simply find a website that's hosted outside Germany for their filthy needs. The German government couldn't possibly block all sites with adult content. Or use a VPN. Or they could pirate whatever they want, or buy/sell DVDs in the schoolyard or cafeteria. Maybe they sell microSD cards these days, I dunno.

I played violent video games like Wolfenstein 3D (MEIN LEBEN!), watched violent movies like Die Hard (Yippee-ki-yay, MF) and watched porn well before I was 18. And I'd like to think I'm not an abusive misogynist nazi.
Don't get me wrong, I hate those so called "youth protection laws" we have in Germany with a passion and I completely agree that no video game or movie will ever be harmful to any normal kid. But that does not mean that GOG or any other store WHO AIMS TO SELL TO GERMANS should not add required age verification gates. It is still up to every person if they would like to use them or if they would rather decide to "break the rules" ... right now however Germans only have two options: don't buy the game at all or break the rules - and there still are several people out there who have a problems to do the latter and don't know anyone who would gift them those games ... those simpls won't be able to buy the game and the reason for this is not German laws but GOG since those games simply never were banned in Germany at all.

I was on the brink with this one (which has been released elsewhere in 02/2021 but is new to GOG) as well ... then I read a review that stated that the game is really, really short (just an hour or so) and so I decided against buying it for the price. ON the other hand you could say that it would be easier to squeeze it in with your backlog ;)

Here is one completely FREE addition for fans of the point and click adventure Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure. Stuck In Attic (the devs) decided to make the once backer exclusive prequel comic for this game now available for everyone.

Hey @GOG!
Could we add Monstrum to the Halloween sale, please?
Steam has it at a -80% discount right now, though I would much prefer to buy it here!
Please make it happen GOG!

@GOG
It is an an extremely user unfriendly idea to let Agony and Agony Unrated share one place in Galaxy so that people who would want to download both backup installers now have to switch before doing so. Maybe you guys should learn how your client is supposed to work? The dropdown list is meant to switch between THE SAME games on DIFFERENT PLATFORMS. But since you guys since day one did not even manage to implement proper platform filtering (tags/hide games per platform is still IMPOSSIBLE) I guess telling you this is as useless as your programmers seem to be.

Not Always. Lords of the Realm and Lords of the Realm CD version are bundled together, so you need to switch them with the dropdown list to choose which one to enable.

So this only means that it is the SECOND time they misused their dropdown list. As I said, there's no need to do it this way and I consider it really user unfriendly and unnecessary complicated.

Or maybe they use it when two versions of the same game exists in the Galaxy Library as two entities. Different platforms or not.

I said just an example but probably there are more.
