So now that I has been released on Steam, I hope to see it on GOG since it originally was supposed to. It had a product page that said coming soon. Before the whole legal stuff with Frogwares and their publisher.
Something strange is going on with this game.

Today, the game was listed on Steam with a price of €49.99.

Now, going by SteamDB, the game was removed. If you click on the store link it redirects to the Steam homepage.

However, searching for it directly on Steam, the game page still exists but it can no longer be purchased, as there is no buy button.

It seems the troubles with the publisher are not set yet.
I got the Deluxe Edition of The Sinking City DRM free from Gamesplanet last September for £26.99, are they using the rerelease as an excuse to bump up prices?

Here's a link to store page:

https://uk.gamesplanet.com/game/the-sinking-city-download--3911-1

It downloads just like a GOG game in multiple parts.

The Gamesplanet version is DRM-Free. The version on their own site, not so much:

This Gamesplanet store also sells several GOG keys, some of them surprisingly affordable, how come nobody talks about them here on the forum?

That's a bit of a red-flag. Are we sure they're actually legit?

Yes gamesplanet is legit...I have purchased some games there before...They even had a great deal on a GOG key for Little Nightmares 1 but I missed it :(

Are we sure those GOG keys are authorised though? Green Man Gaming was ostensibly legit, but they started selling Witcher 3 keys without authorisation and... well I can't remember exactly what happened, but GOG wasn't happy.
Frogwares own store points to GamesPlanet when you click purchase there, so that seems to be legit as far Frogwares is concerned.
They probably buy let's say with a 40% discount at sales and resell with a 10% discount to people who don't have patience to wait for new sales?

Green Man sourced keys directly from Witcher 3's retail publisher behind CDPR's back. GOG wasn't happy about that because it meant they got less money from each sale, so they made a big stink to the media about how key reselling was always 100% illegal, even though the sidestepping of "legitimate sources" is basically something ALL forms of retail do, or at least entertainment retail does.
Of all the stores, I found it on Origin - https://www.origin.com/ind/en-us/store/the-sinking-city/the-sinking-city
